An Organizer's misstep becomes an Interesting Puzzle for us

By DraconPyrothayan, in X-Wing

So, day before yesterday, I received a mass-text from my league's TO.

The following is the list the player from [City an hour away] is bringing to the Team Epic Game Sunday:

Rookie Pilot

+ R3-A2

.-=23=-.

Rookie Pilot

.-=21=-,

Airen Cracken

+ Squad Leader

.-=21=-.

Keyan Farlander

+ Push the Limit

+ Advanced Sensors

+ Heavy Laser Cannons

+ B-Wing/E2

+ Dash Rendar

.-=45=-.

GR-75 Medium Transport

+ Raymus Antilles

+ Frequency Jammer

+ Dutyfree

.-=42=-.

Now, the thing is, this wasn't only sent to the other Rebel player as it ought to have been. It swiftly became known that it was sent to the Empire as well.

Thus the puzzle:

  1. What do you fly as the Empire knowing this is half of your opponents' fleet?
  2. If you know that your enemies know that this list is what your partner is running, what Team Epic rebel fleet do you run?
  3. If you know that your opponents know that you know half their fleet.....

In the spirit of fair play i'd take what i would take *not* knowing any of this, or email the guy who sent it by mistake and let him know you know what he's taking so he can rejig.

it could be a very boring game otherwise... like playing poker when you can see the other guys hand and he cant see yours.

Sure you'll win but is that sort of vicotry worth having?

Its a trap!

Never though of that, could be a *really* clever counter intelligence job... like 'operation mincemeat' :)
