Holy cow. Those are AWESOME

I must be really addled this morning ...

What value does IG-88D's pilot ability provide? Can someone give me an example of why I would find this useful?

It provides additional options when doing a S-loop to alter your final position

Oh, yeah! Don't forget that if you have more than one, they stack with each other. It's a shame you can't get 3 in a list.

Sable griffon explored this one in depth It is very useful in dogfighting scenarios.

Choices. "You may", so you can see where everything is when its time to kove, amd choose whatever is most beneficial. Aslo, if 1 is blocked....

Instead of using the bank template, you use the turn template.

I think that may have been deliberate.

I can see myself running b and c together in a list though.

There ... see ... I knew someone would provide the proper medication to my disturbed brain. Yes, if I can see where all ships currently are, reveal my dial, and then decide which template to utilize for the S-Loop, I can see this having significant value.

nice! hope the article is up today. How to decide which 2? all look good.

So, 88-B's special ability is a gunner for cannons. Not sure how I feel about it, since it requires extra investment to utilize, but then again, Gunner is an awesome ability. Could also work in a buzzsaw configuration with FCS.

Maybe it would work well with a cheap cannon and FCS. Flechette buzzsaw, Mango buzzsaw, etc.

Great Guessing

Wow. Some fun combos here. Iggy almost seems to be built to be a counter. A is the swarm counter. B is the high agi counter. C is a high speed defensive ship. And D is maneuverable. And if that is the dial? Holy crap. The question is, which 2 do I want to combine...

Lots of low-speed variability on that dial. All 1-speed and 2-speed maneuvers are white or green. No 3 turn, but the S-loops and koiogran allow for some serious unpredictability. 9 green maneuvers in all; that's amazing. Very unpredictable, even coming out of stress.

I would run B and C in a 100 pt list, mabey D, depends on how good the dial is

edit: And apparently its got an awesome dial

I will point out that 88B says after you perform an attack that does not hit, so you can you preform an HLC attack, and then a SECOND HLC attack. I'm not sure why someone would want 2 Cannons equipped, but it's interesting that you can do that.

Two words: Team Epic

200 points - all 4 agressors, IG-200 titles

I just realized that the B doesn't specify primary weapon. Double HLC attacks!!!

C and D also have awesome synergy when run together with advS. Chance for two actions before the dial is revealed, giving you awesome action economy even going into a red maneuver.
