you'd need a pretty big board to even field this man it looks pretty great though

You certainly have put a lot of thinking into it. What ship length is it based on? This one is 53 cm.
If I remember correctly its 83cm long. I decided the scale with a sliding scale formula. If the medium transport is 1/400 and the corvette is 1/450 the bigger the ship the bigger the scale. Which means that every ship that is bigger than another IS bigger, but the contrast is smaller.
I see. I think I want it to move, but it will need to be slowly, along the long edge of the board. I'd probably also use fewer sections for simplicity.
So looks like you have all the primary weapons as turrets. What secondary weapons would it take? The side guns are ion cannons aren't they (at least they are in the Rogue Squadron games).
I haven't played an epic game yet so I'm not familiar with the obstruction rules for those ships. Does it work out so it can fire backwards?
