On Starwars.com, on the main page, there is a link to the January releases of Fantasy Flight Games. It mentions a few card games, but there is no mention of X wing content being released this month. When Wave 5 dropped, it was on the "Fantasy Flight Games November preview" page, so most likely, it would have been on that page if it was coming out before the end of the month. So I guess that is that for a January release date. Womp Womp Womp.

Yeah, but I think they also had Rebel Aces listed as coming out way before they did. I'm not holding my breath. I'm thinking late February.

The dates announced on www.starwars.com seem to be given to them some time in advance, because they are frequently off the mark. Sometimes they are a few weeks early, sometimes a few weeks late (though they are also correct sometimes). I'm not reading too much into it.

For what its worth, they also show the Imperial Assault dice pack releasing this month but they don't mention the IA figure packs, which seems odd.

I have a connection to 2 separate distributors (large ones) and they do not have any dates for X-Wing. That being said, I was told I should pre-order as it is unlikely I will be able to get any from the distributors directly.

I went and pre orderd through my retailer and he said no dates were given...he said they rarely get any shipments in on time. So in short...wave six will get there when they get there.

So the better title to this thread would be

Wave 6 would not be released in January

which surprises no one

If it went "on the boat" in mid-December and it takes (very) roughly six weeks to cross the Pacific, then I'm building my expectations thusly:

Wave 6 docks around last week of January/first week of February 2015
Shipping to distributors begins first/second week of February

Distributors process orders and ship to vendors second/third week of February

My local shop receives product third/fourth week of February

X-Wing fans complain about "is it here yet?" third week of January
