Hi, i was talking with a friend of mine who plays rebels, and he was theoryzing the use of Roark Garnett and Swarm Tactics on other ships to get the 12 PS.
Is that possible?
I mean, both Swarm Tactics and Roark ability are activated "at the start of the combat phase"; do i activate one and finish it, THEN i activate the other, or both are activated at the same time, and Swarm Tactics can't target the PS12 pilot because it was not yet designated?

In the case of simultaneous triggers you gather everything you can do at that moment and then resolve those in any order. They then resolve in that order.

If you activate Roark first, the pilot getting Roarked goes up to 12. It then Swarm Tacticses, sending another pilot up to 12.

You can use Roark and swarm tactics to chain the PS 12 to multiple ships. As the controller of each effect you will get to choose the order to apply them in which will let you make a ship PS 12 before having it give another ship its PS to shoot at.

They activate in the order of your choice, so you can use Roark them Swarm tactics to boost two ships up to PS 12. If you have multiple ships with Swarm Tactics, you can even chain all of them together.

I've built a list that does this, and it can be devastating to your opponent, especially when you concentration your firepower on a single ship. However, Swarm Tactics is a Range 1 ability so you have to fly in formation to maximize its effect.

...and then you face all PS2 BBBBZ anyway.
