You're probably right. I just got word today that as of this moment, there will be no mini-block tournament at Gencon. (Which is too bad... I would have liked to have seen how that shook out.)

:(

I think mini-STD is the only one for me right now.

To be honest. I feel (most) decks i play will fair better in the future meta (more attacks). I hope I am right and this game goes in to a the meta everyone is hoping it to be :) Most sources viable, and not 1HKO

The question is will the need for such attacks be needed in the future. I think one reason people run insane damage attacks now is because a person can heal up really fast and pretty consistantly. Life gain of all kind should have to be associated with the life symbol and those cards should have 2 symbols on the cards. This would make it so that the focus on more attacks would be viable instead of bypassing healing compeletly by having a one-shot.

Cards like battle prowness were printed after/with feline spike(besides that one yumeji foundation from cutting edge). When damage output per attack falls, so should healing capabilities. Plus, healing is a great way to stay alive, but not to kill. Most crazy healing foundations (if not most) will be rotated after this block rotates (unless they print more that is).

Hayamachop, I'm not entirely sure what you're getting at, but I think I get the point, that Battle Prowess heals more damage than the player takes because attacks in this game are otherwise unheard of.

Battle Prowess is not just a tribute to bad symbols, but also to the low amount of attacks being played. Battle Prowess got nothing but complaints when it first came out, but honestly hasn't been seen too much since.

Life gain needs to exist in a way that matters, and not gonna lie, Battle Prowess is about as important as it gets before it gets broken *coughRejectioncough*. But yeah, this game needs to start becoming more attack-oriented, less Feline/Spinta

battle prowess is much more usable in legacy because people attack. unlike in standard wheras one-2 spikes or a spiral arrow lock are the favored ways to win. i would say that the only power symbol hurt by battle prowess is evil because of evil's reliance on a string of attacks.
