Storm Commando Escort Carrier

By MacrossVF1, in X-Wing

It is finally finished! The Storm Commando Escort Carrier is finished! Took me only about five weeks.

Now I know we have a sub-section for painting and conversions but as I suspected before it was introduced, it just isn't visited as often as the main section. Therefore I will post in both sections.

I apologise for the substandard pictures but at about 42-43 cm/17inch long it is a rather big beast. In fact it's so big that my normal photo equipment just wasn't enough. I had to improvise with a big assortment of lamps and a bedsheet just to be able to get some decent pictures. In any case, enjoy!

Looks amazing!

Looks great!

So absolutely over-the-top awesomeness.

So polished. What a feat of engineering!

Beautiful. Exquisite. Wow.

Can't stop staring.

It's perfect.

Awesome job mate-deserves the extra views it'll get on the main forum section

That looks awesome

Really great job.

Nice work, man.

Forgot to post some stats yesterday.

Length: 42-42cm / 17 inch

Width : 15cm / 6 inch

Height: 9cm / 3 inch

Built in an assumed scale of about 1/600 (slightly above 250m) though that is very much up for debate.

It has three pairs of turrets, all of which can be turned and aimed though I don't recommend playing overly much with them, there is always a risk that the paint will be damaged..

15 magnets has been built into the model to make the turrets both removable and turnable, and of course to make it possible to separate the model in two halves for easier transport and storage.

Oh man! This is amazing! We're gonna have to come up with a fair dial, cost, and energy allotment for thus beast. Not to mention a special action for launching ships!

So if I forward your name to the icp you can finally answer their question.
