This is a pretty cool place with decent people. One or two can be a tad prickly, but I've learned when to walk away from a circular argument, and I still respect these people for their knowledge and contributions.
Even our resident 'problem child' ErikB was frustrating rather than obnoxious, and he seems to have left.
People here seem to be helpful and willing to debate opposing views without it getting personal. And it doesn't seem heavily moderated; in fact the FFG guys sometimes drop by and chat.
I was around (briefly) the WoTC forums when 4E hit, and it really was outstandingly appalling. Which is all I'm gonna say about that.
