This is a special review. I cant play the game itself yet till Jan 20th, or I move to Japan, or I buy a PS3 / PS4.

If you want to play the game right now you can buy a hard copy of the asian or japan versions. Asian is prefered because it isnt regin locked although I heard the Japan version isnt locked ether. Just in case go with the asian version.

Despite all of that there TWO / THREE special versions.

Theres a special / limited eddition that is asian and I think japan. It is worth around $50-75 North American bucks. It runs out of stock all the time.

Last there is a Japan E-CAPCOM Complete eddition. Its around $175-210 North American bucks. It comes with alot more... ILL ge to that later.

The limited eddition and Complete eddition come in a huge box with the Zombie you first encounter in game on the cover. Its about 13-14 inchs tall and a inch thick.

*The game in a reg PS3 case, (the asian version alows yo to flip the cover so it says "Resident Evil" and not "Biohazard."

*Downloadable codes to dress Chris and Jill up as themselves from RE5.

*Downloadable codes to play Wesker report 1 and 2. From what I saw the animation looks updated.

* The Biohazard art guidebook. (A 48 page book showing off every room in the game with the new HD enhancements)

*A 2-3 FOOT BY 2 FOOT in-universe construction cocept map of 1st 2nd 3rd and basement first floor of the "Spencer Mansion." (Its real cool, its got George Trevors notes all over it talking about design changes and what not. I see people talking about framing their maps. As awesome as it is IM tempted to do the same thing they are.

This is all really cool stuff but the complete eddition comes with more stuff.

*A case ,slick cardboard, that says " S.T.A.R.S. SPECIAL TACTICS AND RESCUE SERVICE" on the top with the STARS logo. This case is easy to warp.

In the case is a

*Black leather diary with S.T.A.R.S. on it with the Raccoon City Police department logo on it.(Hard too see all in black.)

** On the inside cover it has a diffrent style of S.T.A.R.S. Raccoon City Police department logo thats all in metallic gold, and its harder too see than the all black version

** Its a real diary... ment for you to use... It has in-universe stuff written on 98% of the pages BUT its most the time not much and its all written in Japanese. It has pages that run from JAN 2015 - DEC 2016 and 40-50 extra pages, most with just STARS on them. One page has part of the Raccoon City map in it with a fair ammount of detail on it.

* Next is a clip with the S.T.A.R.S. logo on it. Yup... IVE seen guns made with STARS logo on them so I assumed when it said "Clip" on the product page it was a 9mm Samuri edge mag with STARS written on it with the logo. NO. I got alike a paperboard clip with STARS on it.

* A silver cardboard case with the STARS LOGO on it AND "LAMY Designed. Made in Germany."

** In the case is a 5-6 inch Royal Blue pin. Its got white words on it that says "S.T.A.R.S. SPECIAL TACTICS AND RESCUE SERVICE." Its got the mini STARS logo on it and a huge metal slide on it. Its got a black rubber guard for the lid to stay attached better and the head is a black plastic.

***Last but not least... the clip was bad but looking at this LAMY PIN one can only say LAME.

** This LAME COUGH COUGH LAMY pin is so advanced because it was designed by Germans that it comes with an instruction booklet on how to use your pin. 6 mini page long instructions on how to use your new pin.

***Excluding the two legal pages the 6 other pages show you how to use your pin, how to refill it, how to maintain or replace parts on it OR how to transform your pin into the inkwell style pin.

Thats right, your pin is a TRANSFORMER.

Is this pin supposed to be like the pins they used in universe at the Mansion? If soo I think we know how the T-Virus got lose.

Bert: Hey Ernie, have you noticed any changes in the samples after introducing the T Virus too them.

Ernie: Yes its beautiful! We can now confirm that the T-Virus can bond with the dna in mammals! HA the heads up top thought it only changed the DNA of Reptiles HA HA.

Bert: Dont forget to record your finding both in written form and audio video form.

Ernie: Way ahead of ya! (Whips out pin but nothing comes ou when he tries to write.) Well ILL just have to change it too the inkwell style pin! He wrestles with the head trying to unscrew it, his elbow swinging dangerously closer and closer too the dish with the T VIRUS sample.

Bert: Careful ******* your gonna (hes intruppted by the sample being flung all over the place by Erines clusmy elbow, some off it going down Berts throat.

Ernie: OHHHH **** MAN ARE YOU OK!!! (He says as he rushs to Berts side.)

Bert: errr aggh (hacking and chocking his eyes roll into his head)

Ernie: NOOO (he sticks the pin in Berts mouth since he now appears to be convulsing, so he wont byte his gum off.) NO BERT BREATH!!! ( A couple secs go by Bert stopped breathing)

Bert: ...

Ernie: IM a failure... wait my CPR skills have failed ( he said sadly. He then notices Berts eyes rolling wiledly. They open and they look like cats eyes.) Bert...?

Bert: AGGGGHHHHERROWWW!!! He plows Ernie into a work station, knocking a mp3 player to the floor that starts playing "Gangman style" for hours while Bert eats Ernie.)

Hours go by. Techs are just now comming into the lab during the normal work peroid.

Tech: What the **** happend in here why is that ******* music playing loud and nonestop!?

Tech2: Hey its Bert and Erine! (Bert and Erine run at their coworkers cominng into the lab biting and tearing into all the people they can get their meat hooks on.

Tech: BERT AND ERINE HAVE GONE MAD AND ARE TRYING TO KILL US ALL, RRRUUUNNN!!!

My opinion you should only get the complete version ONLY IF your a hard cre collector. The first Resident Evil and Code Veronica are my favs. When I found out they were making this complete version I felt I had to have it. Other RE games have ha cooler complete / super edditions come out that feel better than this on for the HD Remastered.

I used to look forward to new res evil games but sadly capcoms running that franchise into the ground, res six was on the steam sale for a pittance but I just couldn't force myself to click buy.

1 to 3 were classic racoon city full of zombies action.

4 was good.

5 was Call of duty: Ethiopia.

6 had something on the cover that looked like a woman having oral sex with a giraffe.

.We just got a PS4 with Xmas cash and I have Alien Isolation, Wolfenstein and Dragon Age inquisition ready to go once i install it. My wife is more of a survival horror kind of gal so she had Evil Within and is definitely going to get the Resident Evil remake as soon as it comes out. Im torn over which im going to play first. Dragon Age or Alien. I have the art and design book for Alien Isolation and am actually (doesnt happen often) very pleased with the art style and tech design. They have kept the original Alien feel even with the ships. Something that has been lacking in the sequels. And the fact that there is no guide available meaning you have no map or prior knowledge and have to figure everything out as you go will make it all the more fun.
On the opther hand i really like the Dragon age series

I guess I lucked out. My friend got me the special version that came with re cv x hd, re4 hd, and re5 with all dlcs. It only had a 6 and some spider webs on it.

In those books for alien isolation you wouldn't happend to have seen anything about russians, or the russian gov /military did you? I had been working on stuff involving that country in the alien / pred / promethues universe. I was offered to help write stuff invovling aliens and russia but I thought the guy / gal was just a fan fiction writer so I turned down their offer. Year / years later I heard stuff being possible used in A.I. that's sounds a lot like what I had worked on.

The setting is a semi derelict station named Sevastopol but im not sure how much specific Russian tech etc they have. The original film was the basis of pretty much everything even down to them basing consoles on real ones but limiting them to nothing later than the late70s

I think they did, its that old republic mmo.

Ive been playing this game. I got to say its the best version of RE1 yet.

Things that IVE noticed are diffrent.

*Enemies do more damage

*As Rebecca you cant take the safe paths in the mansion. The game wont allow it.

*Everyone got the RE5 costumes. You can select them by pressing up or down at the character select screen.

*The acievements are very cool, some are difficult, most are hiden, one is a negative achievement.

*Controls can be a bit tricky if your used too the gamecube controler.

* Its got a good amount of new features, extra easy mode, movie replay mode, leader boards for every gameplay type, the option to link your game too residentevil.net, it keeps track of all the things you unlocks,weapons you find, special monsters you kill.

* You have two screen display modes. Widescreen can get tricky to get used to because the camera pans abit.

Just some advice.

* Always carry your survivel knife. This is the weapon of a true survivalist. Its not as random and ammo dependant as a firearm. Always go for the legs. You will have a longer reach and better chance of triping Zombies. When fighting on stair cases aim for the head. This may be the only safe time to aim up with your knife. When fighting Zombies go for the legs right as the get into kinfe range then take 2-3 steps back and make one swipe agian.

**Only use the knife on Zombies, traped Red terrors / Crimsion Heads, Cerberus, crows, bees, Webspinners, Black Tiger, T-002. Although theirs a award for beating the game with only a knife, no defence items, no lighter, no head stomps. Goodluck killing Hunters, MA-002, Neptunes, Forest, Yawn, Plant-42, and Lisa with a Knife. I killed the Megaladon sized Neptune with a Knife on medium years ago, it took 30-50 slashes.

*Keep the route that leads to the first floor truck saveroom that next too the spencer office clear of zombies and other monsters. This area leads too all the most important areas you must go esp on "True Survivor" setting. Obn that setting none of the trunks are universal.
