How to handle grappling?

By Theros, in Star Wars: Edge of the Empire RPG

Sorry to bring this back from the dead however, I need help deciding on grapple and how it works. What is the general consensus for how a grapple should work?

I did like Donovan's example but wondered what exactly the community thought. Basically I want to bring 3+ options to the group and let them vote how grapple should work.

Make a Brawl check as normal. If it succeeds, you have grappled the target. Next, make opposed Brawn checks, possibly with boost or setback dice from advantage or threat generated by the initial attack. If the grappler wins, he has his target pinned. If not, the target escapes.

I probably wouldn't allow any damage for the check. If you want damage, hit them in the regular way. Grappling is for holding on. I might allow 1 strain for every 2 successes on the opposed Brawn check, but that's as far as I'd go.

I know that this has probably been said a few times already, but this is how I handle grappling.

1. The attacker makes a brawling attempt at the target

2. The attacker, using the die results, decides if the attack is lethal or non-lethal.

3. Then using Advantage/Triumph, the player explains how the attack is going (pinned = additional setback dice = 2 x Advantage)

4. The attacker (whilst attacking) or the defender (whilst trying to escape) can use whatever skills they feel bests suits the situation so as to "look good on film" (i.e. brawl, athletics, coordination, etc).

5. Rinse and repeat until someone keels over, being as narrative as possible to suit the story and the action.

Am I missing something, but this system is about simplicity without wanting (or needing) to be hamstrung by rules.
