Kavil w/ Blaster Turret: Markmanship/EI/Unhinged vs. R4?

I've been thinking of some Y-Wing ideas as the hype builds closer to the Most Wanted release.

Just to put it out there, I don't particularly like Ion Cannon Turrets, although I fully get that they are great for controlling positioning. For now at least I'm interested in seeing how Blaster Turrets can be worked out (The autoblaster turret is just awful at 2 damage). If I wanted to use an Ion Cannon Turret I'd probably take one of the named HWK-290s at this stage as they have better synergy.

Which of these seems better?

Kavil w/ Blaster Turret, Markmanship, Experimental Interface, Unhinged Astromech

OR

Kavil w/ Blaster Turret, R4 Astromech

The first option gives a focus-like effect as well as the focus token to use to fire the blaster turret. Unhinged Astromech transforms the Y-Wing dial into having a lotta green and easy ways to destress as well as keep people in range and yet out of firing arc for Kavil's ability.

The second option is the one that would probably be used for Syndicate Thugs, but I'm just wondering if I'm wasting the opportunity cost of the mod and EPT slots.

I like the R4 build better, not reliant on clearing stress, therefor are less predictable, less susceptible to being blocked and have a better chance of actually being able to fire.

What EPT do you think works well with the R4? Expert Handling? He's already got re-rolls so less need for Predator/Lone Wolfie.

You do probably need a ship with Wingman to pull stress off, but he only generates 1 per turn with that combo.

Oh, whoops, yeah, he should have EI. Your original EI build doesn't have the Agromech, with Marks/Agro you have a ridiculous chance of getting at least 3h1c.

Target Lock + Markmanship = really really good attack, at the cost of having only 1 and 2 straights as available moves. There's potential if the PS5 Syck has an EPT... if so then Wingman becomes a solid temptation on that guy so Kavil can still move about.

Unhinged is great for clearing the stress but then PTL will be needed for Focus + TL or EI for Focus + Marksmanship.

So what i was basically looking at was those options:

Y-Wing (24), Blaster Turret (4), Unhinged Astromech (1), Push the Limit (3)

B)

Kavil (31)

Y-Wing (24), Blaster Turret (4), R4 Agromech (2), Determination (1)

C)

Kavil (35)

Y-Wing (24), Blaster Turret (4), Unhinged Astromech (1), Marksmanship (3), Experimental Interface (3)

A has 3 points less than C, which is why i actually prefer it. Okay you get no improved Focus but i prefer having a simple TL over Marksmanship. You could even consider taking an Engine Upgrade then because your Nod Slot is empty.

I really like B though. It's the least expensive option and leaves you free in your Mod and EPT choice. I picked Determination, but VI, nothing at all or even something like Opportunist would be great...

I feel its worth bringing up,because I've seen it quite a bit, just because a ship has an EPT doesn't mean you have to fill it with something.

That said for Kavil my choices would be determination (with 5 hull you might have a crit you can discard), Adrenaline Rush, Swarm Tactics, Decoy, Wingman or Veteran Instincts. Basically passive buffs, that do not generate stress.

I just like going all-in on my elite guys I suppose XD
