I'm also totally in favour of sub-forums. My ideal categories would be

-campaign

-skirmish

-rules

-general (or off-topic)

-painting (being a new-jack at painting I would love to have a dedicated subforum to devour during worktime)

Please note that when we did this for the X-Wing forum, we did not contact the Webmaster (specifically sending to the webmaster link the forum provides). We PM'd a FFG mod directly.

After searching around, I've PM'd FFGKeith to see where we can go from there. I don't know who is the actual main mod for IA is since it's not obvious from their "mod team" page. I have requested the following sub-forums:

Campaign

Skirmish

Rules

I agree with others that General and Painting topics should remain in the main forum. Of course, I'm not the final arbiter of all of this but those are the three main sub-forums that seemed to get the most feedback from this thread. If we need to set up a formal poll or something, I assume the Mods will let us know as Any2Cards as indicated.

My personal thought would be to eliminate the Rules sub-forum, as you are going to want Rules questions for Campaign and Skirmish mode to be in those sub-forums; otherwise, a participant of the forums may have to visit multiple sub-forums to ask a rules question, or to find a particular ruling. Just my two cents worth.

I don't want to have to wade through rules questions when searching for strategy or squad build threads, though. My preference would be to have one Rules Sub-Forum, where we clearly instruct people to indicate if their question is about Campaign or Skirmish play.

So yeah, I agree with this arrangement:
