I do not get to play often and well i keep my minatures in a tackle box, well somehow i have 2 broken ones. Z-95 the left gun fell off, and the A-wing the left gun fell off and GOT lost. so for a quick fix i just took the other gun off each one so they look semi normal lookingish. my question is will FFG replace them if i had the proof of purchase? if so how do i go about doing that. if NOT then O well I just have to live with it and nothing i can do.
two broken ships
I was expecting another fix/patch thread when I clicked; Boy am I relived. To answer your question, I believe FFG would refund your purchase, if it was relatively recent. The question is if the guns fell because of poor quality, or poor storage?
It seems like the ships were damaged at your fault, but I have a friend who broke his x-wing. He told FFG it was his fault and they still sent a replacement to him. It's no guarenteed but you can try!
or just go get something that resembles a "Gun" and glue it back on.. Needle/small nail/WWII 1/72 B-17 machine gun.. pretty easy fix.. use super glue..
Post moaning how this will drive up model prices in 3..2..1...
If I catch you using your modified ships at a tournament, I will have you drawn and quartered on the spot.
You have been warned.
Edited by RaptureLook up a thread titled "Derpfender". It's about a guy who accidentally ran his Defender over. It's complete with pictures. There are pages of back and forth from people saying he should ask FFG, but not expect it. Others love to talk trash about the guy as he should just "man up" and buy another one. If you asked nicely and had pictures, there is a chance you could get a new one.
Is it minor stuff like the gun breaking? Do you still have the pieces? You can probably fix it. If you don't know how, look in your local store (or ask the owner) about other miniature gamers (like Warhammer). Those guys are pretty good at fixing things like that. Most are pretty nice, too. Most.
a needle!?! seems kinda iffy. "hey buddy can you move my model for me since its on your side of table?" Sure ill just pic..yyyoowwwww!"
Depending on how bad it is it's usually possible to fix. I've had a Z-95's gun break (the recent batch might have dodgy glue or something) and they've got a notch in them that slots nicely into the wing so they're not hard to fix with some model glue.
That being said, there's no harm in sending some pictures to Customer Support and asking.

One of my Z-95 Headhunters had a gun fall off through normal play. I glued it back on and it's all fine. If you still have that gun, just get out the super glue.
For the missing A-Wing gun though, you are going to have to get your best begging words and put them in an email to FFG Customer Service and see what happens.
Take some photos, and go to the support page. Report how they were damaged and FFG will probably send you some new ones. If you have the POP show that in your photo.
I had two ship break off their pegs last week, and left their dials at the store. I took photos, showed Proof of Purchases in photos and they sent out new ships and dials.
Their support is Awesome!!! The best in the Biz! IMO

Thank you for this.
I had forgotten all about the Derpfender, and went back to re-read the thread... and discovered that I had missed pages 4-8.
THAT'S 30 minutes of my life I'll never get back. ![]()
I had two X-Wing cannons partially break on me yesterday. They were loose but not completely off. I used a toothpick to dab a bit of cyanoacrylate in the break. It seems to be holding now. I wish the X-Wing cannons were a little thicker and sturdier; they are easy to snag on sleeves or bump into things. Thankfully my Z-95s are holding up well.
The middle engine on my GR-75 popped out. It looks like it was just pressed in without any glue. Will have to glue back on.

Yep, one of the engines on my Tantive ended up falling off the ship completely shortly after I bought it. Didn't think much about it, grabbed the superglue and you would never know it had been off!

Except some times in the deep of night when you startle awake as the buried memory haunts your dreams, and you can't rest until you've checked it's still there.

I had this same issue .. super glue and it was fixed... I sent pictures to FFG for quality purposes..

Looks like I have to go get a tube of superglue this weekend...
I'm sure any glue will hold it in, even some elmers.. but I have a table with paint glue and decals set up and just used what I had...
Somehow one of my x-wings has broken a cannon recently (I'd swear it's just been sitting on the desk, but I guess it fell victim to a giant space cat, and a housemate picked it up afterwards). For the moment I'll just have to run it with 3 cannons and hope to pick up a cheap/broken x-wing at some point for spares & repairs.
Reduce your primary weapon value by one. ACTION: Glue gun back on and roll one attack die. On a [hit] or [crit], ignore this post.
