i have mot played since before wave 5 came out. what is the meta right now?
What is the meta right now?
Unsurprisingly it's still turret ships, except now it's outriders and decimator.
Beleive it or not, my local meta is hammers. If you win you get to smash a ship. But it is better than the "fat" lists hat just involved eating. Maybe ball and chain lists will get popular again so I can beat someone then play at a different table and they can't follow.
Edited by Bloodstripe Baronthe meta here is anti-meta. =P
My meta is not the same as your meta
People are still pretty enthralled by wave 5 stuff. Slowly shifting back.
Funny enough on Tuesday out of 10 lists not one had an outrider or a Falcon, a few with a Deci, but a lot of Wave 1-4 ships.
My Local Meta is weird, that or we just like to experiment! ![]()
Since Meta roughly means trends or even fads in the game it will not be the same in all locations and communities.
However in my community Decimators, YT-2400s, and Phantoms seem to be very common.
If you go to play people at your local store, you will probably see a lot of big, turreted ships. They are the new toys out these days.
There is no meta, only Zuul.
1.) Stacked Yt-1300 with predator, c3po, gunner/r2-d2 (Crew), engine upgrade, title
2.) Whisper w. Veteran Instincts, Fire Control System, Gunner/Rebel Captive, Advanced Cloaking Device
3.) Decimator (Chiraneau) with Engine upgrade
4.) Dash Rendar with HLC and Outrider Title (engine upgrade and kyle crew)
Bring your tie fighters, your B-wings, and your favorite anti-phantom ship so the aforementioned things don't get slaughtered
thanks =D
Seems healthy enough here. Very few WAACers, fortunately.
At my lgs, every player (not just every table) has brought either a YT-2400 or a Decimator in their game, with Decimators currently being more popular, and one player actually uses a Double Decimator list. Although I know there is one player that only plays Interceptors. The Engine Chiraneaus seems to be slightly more popular than Expose, and I haven't seen any Oicunn yet. Dash doesn't seem to get a lot of play here, I see a lot more Eden Vrill and Leebo. Named X-Wings and B-Wings seem to get the most play on the rebel side, and Academy Pilots and named Phantoms for the Imperial players.
Mind you this is all just what I've observed for the last few weeks from the table I was playing at at my LGS, and these are all casual practice games.
What's the meta with you?
