The Wyrm turns. Question about interaction with Belthrir

By Vancheng, in Descent: Journeys in the Dark

Hi! We are gong to play this quest next session, and I want to ask few questions in advance:

1) it is stated in description to threat Belthir as hero figure, so is it legal to use Syndraels heroic feat on him, to give him extra movement?

2) also is it legal to use knight's skill Oath of Honor on him? And defend skill?

3) it is stated that Belthir can make one movement Action and one any other action except movement, so how should we threat his ability Wreak Havok in this regard? Can we declare move action, and after that declare a wreak Havok, or does it counts as both movement and attack?

4) also can we use him to loot and revive KO heroes?

Thanks

1 and 2) Yes! "Treated as a hero figure" means that for attacks, hero abilities , monster abilities, and Overlord cards, Belthir counts as a "hero."

3)Since "Cry Havok" says "perform a move action and an attack action" it counts as both of those things, even though it is a special action, and not simply a move action or an attack action.

4) No. The only times Belthir counts as a hero are for the purposes listed in the answer to your first questions. Belthir is not "a hero" (he's just treated like one for some purposes.) I think the way that it's worded gives Belthir the option to move and attack, or Cry Havok and attack. There is an old thread on boardgamegeek where Justin explains why.

EDIT: Good job asking this before you play the quest.

Thank you, Zaltyre, your posts are overall very helpfull on this forum

Yes, I must learn from @Vancheng's example. Despite having played this game since its inception, I find that when I play new content, we play it, and then ask questions. Probably not the brightest approach as it can lead to spirited debate, and detract from actual play time. :P

Another question suddenly came to my mind. If Belthir or any of the heroes move to lava sqares under the dark charm will they be defeated? A figure who ends it's turn in lava space must be defeated, but does dark charm activation counts as "their" turn?

Thanks in advance -)

It most certainly does not. Dark Charm is just performing an action, and it takes place very specifically during the OL's turn, not that hero's turn. Secondly, don't forget that Belthir has fly. He doesn't suffer damage when entering lava spaces (though he would be defeated if he ended his turn there.)

Thank you again
