Shadow with ACD/FCS/Gunner.

Anyone think this is Viable?

I am thinking 2 of these with a Storm squadron Newvanced ATC.

Or I dunno, one Shadow as above, 1 newvanced and a trio of TIE /LN's.

Seems to me like your sinking too many points into a generic. It could work out for you if your lucky but id go Shadow, Intel agent, FCS, Stygium its less costly you can fit three in a list or two and Vader.

Lot of points for something that is going to de-cloak and then have to wait for everything PS6 and above to take a pot-shot before it can return fire. I tend to find that the lower PS Phantoms run better with Stygium. Depends on what role you want them to play though...

Sigma Squadron Pilot with Stygium Particle Accelerator, Enhanced Scopes and Intel Agent make great blockers!

ACD is still fairly viable on ships with lower PS, as it gives you the mobility of decloaking.

That alone is typically worth the 4 points.

However, I am not sold on a buzzsaw-phantom. You're actually quite likely to hit on the first attack, after all.

All true... I am trying to come up with something different. maybe dropping gunners, switching to sigmas and keeping the FCS... Or shadow FCS, mid range PS being preferred.

Intelligence Agent is nutty on these things, by the way.

Yeah when Phantom first came out Echo, int agent, outmaneuvre and ACD were my friend. I had fun with that.

ACD is still fairly viable on ships with lower PS, as it gives you the mobility of decloaking.

The advantage of gunner/FCS combo is that it allows you to take Evade as your action. When you're defending with only two dice, having that guarenteed evade result can be crucial to staying alive.

However, considering we're talking a 38-point PS5 ship with only 4 hull and 2 evade dice against PS6 or higher, he's probably still going to ignite into a plasma cloud before he actually earns his cost.

I think they're solid, but I'd swap out Gunner and FCS for recon spec, brings the points down and gives more defensive use, which will be needed since it has a lower PS.
