I just want to confirm if turrents are not firing arcs? For example a y-wing with a turrent vs another turrented ships. I believe that it is not the y-wings arc and also not the other ships arc, unless they are in arc for the front 90.
Turrent and Outmaneuver
All ships have a printed firing arc which is the one printed on the front of their base. Turrets don't have a firing arc, they allow ships to fire outside their normal arc (the one to their front).
An exception to this is the Firespray, which has an auxiliary arc to the rear, which still counts as a firing arc for it's primary weapons, as well as for effects such as Outmaneuver.
So if you attack a Y-wing with a turret, you need to come at it from the side or rear and be outside it's normal firing arc to trigger your Outmaneuver.

I think he meant "turrets DO have a firing arc..." ![]()
Actually, I was thinking about the weapon upgrades like ion cannon turret, that you'd put on a Y-wing allowing it to shoot outside it's normal arc.
Even though a turret shoots 360 it's arc is what's printed on the base, so if your attacking a ship from the side or rear outmanouver kicks in despite there being a turret equipped.
^^ which is exactly what I meant.
But what you said was that they didn't have an arc, and that is exactly wrong. Turreted ships DO have a firing arc, they can just shoot outside of it. Which is what it looked like you were trying to say and somehow something autocorrected "do" to "don't", so that the paragraph ended up reading like
"All ships have a firing arc, turrets don't have a firing arc and they can shoot outside of it."
To be absolutley correct, ships have firing arcs, upgrade cards (such as turrets) do not. So saying turrets don't have a firing arc is technicaly correct. The same goes for any secondary weapon though. It's kind of irrelevant to the discusion as it's allways the ships arc that we use any way. ![]()
