Are the new TIE Advanced fixes in vassal yet?

I don't see Vader yet. :-)

Not yet. When we get the last dials for Scum and Villainy we will. This is Soontir week clearly. I expect the second that becomes available it'll be Vader Week.

Ok, Should I redo this thread since I'm an idiot and named it wrong?

The site admin can "Edit" your title for you I think. You may want to go that route first.

Once Vader is available you will see how many people break down and re-use Autothrusters Fel but paired with with ATC Vader and Whisper for kicks. :)

*cough* the Dark Side is seductive *cough*

I sent a PM to the two admins... I'll cross my fingers.

Help us Admins, your our only hope.

Fun again! I agree with all of your predictions on a cursory glance at lists.

First game is today at 2pm PST (5pm EST) between MrFroggies and Morgan. If you want any of either of their ships in your fantasy squad I need the email in my inbox by that time.

Stats are up for game 1, it was a good one!

Doomshuttle + Prox Swarm vs Oic and the "new" Fel.

Disappointed the Prox mines didn't come into play more (or at least they didn't get dropped, I'm sure they affected flying decisions). Game was closer than it might've seemed, if Fel had gone down and there been an extra crit that had gone through on Oic it would've been a much different outcome. Well flown by both sides.

I may not have dropped my mines, but it completely changed how Morgan flew. Oicunn did 0 ramming damage that game, and Soontir spent most of the game flying away from my bombers. Morgan flew great, he never gave me a chance to put the mines in play.

First Game: Morgan over Froggies 100-12

Subject title change!

Think it was winnable at all or just a poor matchup? I'm considering getting more bombers.

I'd say it was about 1-2 pixels away from a Froggies win.

Spot on Scott - Avoiding those mines was a (enjoyable) nightmare to plan and fly against. That was my first experience against a Prox mine squad and I think I was lucky to get out of it alive!

You flew very well and setup a number of excellent Soontir traps - a very difficult task with a couple of bombers. Kelvan is on the money in that I think you were only a couple of pixels away from winning that one - although it would have been an interesting end game with Oicunn vs a couple of Bombers!

Great tactical game, great opponent and that was one of the most challenging squad match ups I have played to date. Highly recommended viewing for any Bomber fans out there if Kelvan makes the log files available.

I will supply links to all log files save the ORS Weekly video. they will supply it upon release of thier video. If they don't release it I will.

The game was completely winnable, and I think this squad would do much better in a timed match. Bombers are not an easy ship to fly, you have to think multiple moves a head to make sure you are where you need to be.

Morgan Flew perfectly to counter what the build does. The only way I can drop the mines to do damage is if I can lay them in front or on the Target. He flew his ships away from me which prevented me from making use of the mines. I knew that the only way I was going to be able to reliable do damage to Soontir was with a Mine, or Vadar. So I had to save them for a sure thing. The Asteroid setup I think Favored him more then me I think. I'm going to have to look at that and see what I might do to adjust things against different match ups. After reviewing the Log File, I saw 2 specific mistakes that I made, which could have change the game. I think the only misplay that Morgan made was when he flew Soontir into the asteroids which limited his moves. That was my chance to change the game, but that's when I made both my mistakes.

Thanks again Morgan I look forward to some more games with you!

Another game in the books, Mu0n's Whisper + Fel + Doomshuttle vs Texx's Triple Interceptor list (Fel, Jax and Turr).

Definitely a high offensive match which showcased what happens when green dice fail.

Stats are updated, four games left this week, still time to get fantasy line ups in :)

Paul Heaver v Kelvan on Vassal Now!

Where can I find the battle reports?

I will post all game logs.

Mid-week fun facts:

Morgan's Captain Oicunn is this weeks highest total point scorer so far with 3 kills, 5 crits, 13 hits, 4 evades, 6 stress given out and a block! He was only drafted to one team, submitted by Lanthal, and may just end up leading him to victory.

One of Kelvan's APs (AP#3) racked up 1 kill, 2 crits, 6 hits, 6 evades, a block and survived! He is currently the highest points/cost so far this week after 3 out of 6 games... unfortunately no one drafted him.

Despite winning the match, Texx's Turr Phennir is this week's worst performing pilot so far, he managed to pull off 6 evades but did nothing else of note before dying. His sacrifice will likely not be remembered as he had no admirers and no drafts.

ps Sozin vs Sideslip is starting soon!
