The stress shuttle with a stress shotgun

By Bloodstripe Baron, in X-Wing Squad Lists

What are people's thoughts on this:

Rear Admiral Chiraneau — VT-49 Decimator 46

Flechette Torpedoes 2

Tactician 2

Gunner 5

Tactician 2

Omicron Group Pilot — Lambda-Class Shuttle 21

Rebel Captive 3

Mara Jade 3

Engine Upgrade 4

Academy Pilot — TIE Fighter

The academy funnels ships into the stress shuttle that wants to be at range 1 to stress everything and have 4 attack dice

The rear admiral is generally going to be rolling 3 dice but using his arc to direct the ships who are avoiding it. If something does get caught in arc, up to 5 stress once, then 4 stress after that.

I will point out that tactician only works inside firing arcs. I would rather use

Rear Admiral Chiraneau (46)
Predator (3)
Mara Jade (3)
Rebel Captive (3)
Engine Upgrade (4)

Omicron Group Pilot (21)
Tactician (2)
Gunner (5)

Obsidian Squadron Pilot (13)

I might swap the captive and tactician. My first priority is going to be damaging the admiral so making sure captive does its job as often as possible I think is tantamount. But it looks like fun either way!

The OP realizes tactician only works in the arc.

I kinda feel the upgrades on the shuttle and decimator are backwards. If I was flying against this, my first target would be the decimator because the turret ensures it will be firing every round. Yet the RC is on the shuttle.

The shuttle has EU and mara, but that still means 2-3 turns to turn around in a massive arc. While the shuttle can easily not move (via bump or 0-stop), it also means it sacrifices it's ability to shoot when a turret could.

Decimators fly a lot like shuttles, so getting anything in the arc after the first engagement is going to be rather tricky. But with a possible 5 stress, maybe the first go is enough.

I never thought about multiple Tactitian stacking... Interesting idea.

Thats how i run all my cheap shuttles that arent Doom Shuttles.

OGP - Tactician x2 = 25pts.

Hell for a laugh i even ran 4 of them in a squadron. Covering each others arcs etc meant there was ALOT of stress tokens on that board.
