Trandoshan painting reference

By That Blasted Samophlange, in Star Wars: Imperial Assault

While I don't have the game myself, yet, I thought some would find this useful for painting up the trandoshans in the box.

Lots of people are doing great jobs with these figures, but they stick to a single scale colour. These are from the clone wars series and show some variety.

Oh I agree, I'm making each one of mine very different at this moment. Having four of them really gives me the chance to take some chances on all sorts of exotic markings on them.

I plan to do 2 Greenish Scale tones and then 2 orange scale tones to differentiate the units easily.

Those are great. Thx for sharing

Good reference. I'm not sure, however, whether these really fit the figures in the box. The figures are pretty clearly wearing flight suits and most flight suits -- from Rebel pilots to Imperial pilots to Bossk -- are one color.

That said, a strong paint job can redefine a model in some cases. It's possible that you could get away with one of the paint jobs above, even with the current molds.

Plus, I suppose you can make an argument against the models wearing flight suits since the vest isn't ribbed and they lack the leg loops. Also, most flight suits have at least one leg with a ring of bullet-looking things at about knee level. However, these figures do each have a vest and have the characteristic chollar we see on Bossk.

If you (the reader) do want to try something different from the flight suit scheme, don't forget to look up picturesof trandoshan mercenaries from the game Republic Commando. That's where these models' guns are featured.

Excellent resource....thanks

Question - Do each type of trandoshan mix in groups or do each type remain with it's own species.?

The Clone Wars episodes show them working together.
