A lot of discussion about list meta gets thrown around - this list beats that list but not this one, etc. This other list is better because it counters this list well and is ok against most others. It would be interesting to discuss the relative strengths of the various meta-lists.

Biggs Walks the Dogs: Biggs plus B-Wings

The TIE Swarm: Howlrunner plus 6+ Academy Pilots with minimal upgrades

Fat Hancimator: High durability 3 attack ship (~50 pts) + 50 pts

The Phantom Menace: Echo/Whisper + ACD + VI plus 50 pts

Revenge of the Advanced: 3-4 Advanced with ATC

How many others can you think of?

Second, we should rank them in relation to the others. Biggs can beat Swarm, but Swarm is better than Hancimator, which beats most non-meta lists. Menace beats everything without a specific hard counter. Revenge beats everything.

Where have I erred? What other connections/dominances are there?

And just for the record I think that while Spock's dominance over both Rock and Paper is well-founded, Lizard poisoning Spock is simply ridiculous.

Advanced can't take Autothrusters. No native Boost, and only one Mod slot.

With Wave 5 you now have "The Phat Menace" which is a combo of your "The Phantom Menace" and "Fat Hancimator". It remains to be seen but I have a feeling that Phantom+Decimator will be the most popular Decimator lists at least until Wave 6 is released.
