i am more of a casual player and have not played much of the new meta with wave 5. i am not looking to place in the top however i do not want to lose every match either

here are the squads i am thinking of

1x Gold Squadron pilot with ion turret and R3-A2

3x Blue Squadron pilot with E2 and Tactician

or

4x Blue Squadron pilot with advanced sensors

The 1st one was used very successfully by Mr Froggies and Jonathan Gomes, who made top 32 and 8 at Worlds. I flew it once and it was very fun to fly, but tricky to master.

I this meta, the 1st one is probably better because of the stress and ion possibilities.

im kinda scared with mara jade,, if a large ship in my face hard to k-turn and stress from mara jade will make movibility even worse

The stress control list is very fun, but make sure you get in some practice with it. If there are large ships hit em with an ion early and wait. People will forget they are carrying that one ion token around sometimes and you can pop them again when they aren't expecting it and fly them off the board.

Just remember that R3-A2 only works in your primary firing arc, not if you use the ion to fire outside your arc. Though it does work if firing the ion in you normal arc, quite the double whammy that will hurt any ship you pull it off on.
