Anyway, being the little junky that I am, I read the WOWTCG, L5R (and formerly MTG before some of my favorite writers left) websites along with the FFG site of course. I happened to be lurking on their forums and stumbled onto this thread. You'll see the eventually mention the LCG concept and discuss it a bit. While probably not related in a large way at the moment, can we view this as a small (large?) victory for the LCG format to be considered a legitimate type of game to be brought up in discussion like that? Even better on a site for a completely different game and company (ok, not compeltely. AEG and FFG both end their three letter abbreviations with a "G")! Also of course, Todd there wishes us well with the format. Who knows, if OP gets up and running again enough for the game to be viable and enjoyable for nearly all player types, perhaps we'll see other companies follow suit with similar releases for games.
More Cross Pollinating Now with 110% more L5R!
I think if the organizers get everything back on track for league play, the LCG format will be a close standard for gameplay in the future.
Oh, certainly the potential is there. It's a matter of how fully it can be grasped.
Hint hint, wink wink eh?
Oh, I've been pestering Nate and crew about that for quite some time now. The problem is that part of things isn't really Nate's job, and Paul.... well..... he didn't last, we'll say. Does anyone know if we have a new official person now or is there still a vacancy?
It was me, my nickname there is Daidoji mig.
I'm just a fan of the LCG format.
