X-Wing List Juggler

By sozin, in X-Wing

so I've been fixing various wave 8 meta data stuff for the last week (missing reinforced deflectors ... stygium can now work for ships other than phantom ... missing xx23 tracers ... r5-p8 is actually a scum droid ... etc).

we're presently at 195,934 points submitted for march -- which, if february hadn't been a record month for us (199,814), would have been a record! so yeah we're only 40 lists short of having a record month!

re: adding the logical not operator, looking into that.

finally, is anyone interested in seeing the heatmap data by volume (total number of lists submitted, or total number of players) as opposed to by count (number of tourneys submitted)?

couple of updates. 1) added the new deathfire and systems officer cards. 2) got season 1 of vassal league up and running ( http://lists.starwarsclubhouse.com/league )

TB cannon isn't counted in the squad points when I add it via a Mist Hunter title.

An associate and I are doing a tier listing of the pilots based on the usage statistics on list juggler (on an average over a 3 month period), and I wanted to ask if you would be interested in integrating it into your website.

My thought was to link each entry to its usage statistics and once a month or so adjust its ranking based on how it's changed usage; I'm not sure if it would be easy or impossible to program it to happen automatically - if not, it'd take me maybe 2-3 hours a month to readjust 'em manually.

Each entry has a title, a list of common configs, and a short paragraph about the pilot itself, and looks something like:

Zeta Leader (16%)

Predator (23)

Crack Shot (21)

Wired (21)

In the same ability-space as the offense-boosting TIE/LNs, ZetaL stands out above thanks to durability and his ability not being conditional on the enemy's status, but on his own: Take a stress during combat if unstressed, roll an extra attack die. Combined with the /FO's solid greens it makes him an excellent choice for adding more attack power on a budget. A lot of folks use Wired, but it never seems to come through for me personally.

Would that be something you'd be interested in adding to your website?

eek, bug filed, ty

Heh, I have been thinking about this is a feature too! Good one, feature request filed on github.

Speaking of backlog, here's all the outstanding stuff:

  • adding logical not operator to search
  • adding ability to search in the geographic region of a store ("show me the meta within 200 miles of this location")
  • adding the ability to upload random vlogs from vassal games with associated information (score, list, etc)
  • adding player home pages for vassal league (doing this now); being able to subscribe to a vassal player ("email me on game result; email me on list escrow fufullment")

I'll be continuing to write the and solicit community comments on here - right now we've got 6 out of 66 ships done, though admittedly we've done over 30 pilots as we tackled some of the bigger lists first (X-wing, TIE/LN and /FO). When they're all done, I'll compile them and send them off to you, okay?

sounds like a plan!

Bug problem:

When in "Results that made the cut", Fel's Wrath, Lt. Lorrir, and Tetran Cowell vanish.

eek, that's a bad one! fixing now.

Updated LJ with the latest cards from Vassal 5.7.3 release and am updating Vassal legal doc now

To anyone that got some failed submissions on listjuggler last couple of days - my apologies, I finally went through my 9GB disk quota. I upped my quota to 15GB, hopefully that'll last us a while.

I'm going to have to start taking S&V up on their offer to sponsor the web site cost - I'm at $17.50 a month now!

Hello,

Could someone tell me how I can sort tournament list entries by win percentage please ?

Thank you,

Hi! That's a good feature that doesn't exist. I've added it to the backlog. I'm in the middle of a cross country move right now so I'm a little slow right now!

I assume that would have to be a calculated field and not just readily available data in the database. Each player's score is saved, but do you also record their number of losses? I assume no. If that's the case then this is not simply a trivial query. Though this is a step in the direction of the ultimate goal of being able to query things like "how does soontir do vs dengar".

It's a calculated field right now - so yeah, not a trivial query. sqlalchemy has a way to create aggregated fields which is what I'd probably use.

some updates

1) added tail gunner and r3 astromech since they are now vassal legal

2) added vassal season 2 so folks can now escrow their list

3) THANK YOU to the scum and villainy podcast for paying for my $17.50/month web site hosting fees for both listjuggler and ladyluck! yay for awesome patreons. I asked both Asmodee and FFG if they wanted to pay but never heard back from them ...

Hey sozin, new Cryodex is up. Not sure if any modifications need to be made to handle the json output. Nothing added, should be simple if not just work as is.

yep, someone uploaded a tourney with the new format. thanks for all your work!!!

Already? Holy cow! Someone was really excited to try out those new rules I guess.

Added TIE/SF and various new upgrade cards so the folks on Vassal League Season 2 can start escrowing.

SoS changed type (from integer to float) after last cryodex release, so I updated that .
