2015 Store Championship Results

By MajorJuggler, in X-Wing

Two options: 1) download latest cryodex (3.8) and new export option will be there. Save the jar file in the same place as the old cryodex jar file. When you do the juggler export, it will create a file XWingTournent.json in the same folder as the the jar file. Use that for juggler.

2) try to import using the html file. In cryodex, do a export tournament report. This will pop open the html file in a web browser. Do a file-save as and save thr web page someplace convenient. From juggler, use that file in the import from cryodex option when creating the tourney.

The second option is probably easiest, but you might get some problems - the html file was meant for human consumption, and easily breaks the parser I wrote for it. The Json file should always work cleanly.

Hth !

Mistake was made when entering lists for the Wandering Dragon Store Championship.

Dan C list is incorrect. It is actually as follows:

Whisper - Gunner, Fire Control System, Veteran Instincts, Advanced Cloaking Device

Echo - Gunner, Fire Control System, Veteran Instincts, Advanced Cloaking Device

I have no idea how to correct it. Sorry for the error. Too many Dan, Don, Doug, etc!!!

Trying to report the results from our store championship. Have cryodex 3.7, no option to export to juggler list. Only able to export tournament reports, rankings, matches. Advice Sozin?

Download the latest version. The save file will work with it and then you will have the option.

Not exactly sure of all of the specifics, but I think that Cryodex still has an issue or two with re-pairings in later rounds. I was in 12th place in round 4 of a tournament, and I got paired with the 3rd place player (he already played the 4th place earlier). Not sure how that all worked out? I was the lowest ranked player in with 2-1 and he was 3-0. The only thing I could think is that we had very similar strength of schedule, but not victory points. Just a random observation.

I have some results from a local SC. 22 players, we played 4 rounds of Swiss then cut to top 4. TO didn't use Cryodex for this one. He was surprised to get the turn out he did. Still the event was run smoothly and everyone had loads of fun. I don't have all the lists and MoV scoring but here are the top 4. May try entering just them by hand in List Juggler...

Venue: Just By Chance Games, Waterloo, Ontario, Canada

Date: Feb 07, 2015

Attendance: 22

Round time: 60 minutes

Top 4 after Swiss:

1, Spencer - 4-0 - 20 points

  • Horton Salm + Veteran Instincts + R2-D6 + Ion Turret + Proton Torpedo + Proton Torpedo + Engine Upgrade
  • Chewbacca + Push the Limit + Recon Spec + Jan Ors + MF title + Engine

2, Carlo - 3-0-1 - 16 points

  • Han Solo + Predator + C3P0 + R2-D2 + MF title + Engine Upgrade

3. Lucas (me) - 3-1 - 15 points

  • Bandit

4. Chris - 3-1 - 15 points

  • Whisper + Veteran Instincts + Fire Control System + Gunner + Advanced Cloaking Device
  • Kenkirk + Determination + Mara Jade + Moff Jerjerrod + Ysanne Isard

Semifinals (also 60 minutes): 1 beat 4, 100-0; 3 beat 2, 39-12

We then decided not to play the final. Spencer had already won a previous SC he attended. Not needing another plaque and bye he conceded the final match to me.

Spencer flew the snot out of his Horton and Chewie list today, handing me my first lost in the 4th round of Swiss on the top table. Would have liked to face him again in the final, but we were all pretty burnt out, so on the other hand I was definitely glad to get head home a bit early too.

HORTON SALM SIGHTING!!!!!

^^^Haha, I'm complaining about being burnt out when Morgan's SC in Sydney ran 10 rounds for the final 2 players!!

I love both of those top two lists, honestly. Both have very unique combos that hadn't been seen much, and it does my heart good to see that they beat the two titans of the current meta.

Congrats on your win!

Well failed at List Juggler....entered the top 4 lists for this SC and somehow marked everyone as dropped...time for bed...

Morgan, out of curiosity, how did you place?

Morgan, out of curiosity, how did you place?

I was lucky enough to win it MJ.

Tough day for Whisper though - 7/9 of my games had direct Whisper counters. Combine that with the ever increasing standard of game play and the competition is really heating up in Australia for X-Wing. Great time to be playing!

Up in Michigan they had a store championship with some good players and the winner win with corran, tycho, and a prototype. Not only was this a wings winning but a small base 3 ship rebel build. He beat cchiraneu whisper in the finals. Tell me again how turrets are so broken?

Bjorn - you received an error because the uploaded file was of type .html, and not .json.

Can you change the extension of the file to be ".json" until of ".html" and re-upload?

Khyros hasn't posted on his win yet, so I'll let him post the results of the Top 4. I agree though, it is really awesome that he won with the list, and he had to beat like 100 turrets to get there.....Khyros! Post those dang nabbit results!!! I want to talk about how I beat you in the second round, only for you to beat me in the finals! Haha.

Well it wasn't Han, eh? :)

07/02/15 Dark Sphere store championship (London, UK)

The top 4 were:

1st - Mike Dennis Han, Lone Wolf, R2-D2, C-3P0, Falcon Title, Engine Upgrade, 2x Green Squadron, Chardaan, PTL

2nd - Ben Royles Whisper, VI, ACD, Navigator, FCS, Chinereau, Engine, VI, Rebel Captive, Ysanne Isard

Joint 3rd - Jesper Hills Han, VI, R2-D2, C-3P0, Falcon Title, Engine Upgrade, 2x Green Squadron, Chardaan, PTL

Joint 3rd - Alex Birt Decimator + Phantom (unknown upgrades)

Non-representative of what turned up on the day and two of the top eight had to leave early so their places were given to P 9 and 10, but I guess the compositions are no great surprise.

Estarriol - how many players total, and how many minutes per game?
