The event was a lot of fun. There were only 4 lists with zero turrets, mine included (though one only had a Y-Wing). I think there was one large ship per player, including 4th place and a double-Lambda Decimator list.

Yeah you got my list right i ran the falcon title. Wasn't sure about taking it since i primarily wanted to just focus for the double token but a few times it saved my life. Great game today by the way i look forward to us playing again.

Just finished up a long day at Little Shop of Magic in Las Vegas.... I was able to get 3rd and snag the much wanted acrylic Focus tokens. The final match was a pretty epic game as it came down to an academy with 2 hit points left and a decimator with 3 left. Console fire dealt he killing blow to the Decimator. No video unfortunately, but it was a hell of a game to watch.

In my Swiss rounds I played against most of the top 8 players, then ended up playing 2 of them again in the final cut

In Final 8, Won against Alex Y again to make it to top 4. Then faced Robert F again and lost.

So we had 18 people turn up with a cut to the final 8 after 5 rounds of Swiss. I managed to get 7 of the final 8 lists. The store owner will be posting all 18 lists onto the store website in a few days. I'll post a link once they are up.

Glad to see another Tie Bomber list made it into the Top Four.

Out of the 12, there were only 2 lists with big turreted ships. One had Outrider and the other had 2 Decimators.

Wow, that's surprising compared to the store champs I attended yesterday (they'll be uploading it, I'm sure -- I didn't make the top eight cut and left early so don't know what won). Out of 20 players, only 5 had all snubfighter lists -- the other 15 had at least one if not two large-based turreted ships, with I'd guess 2:1 Decimators to others. It was Decimators, Decimators everywhere.

I ran one of the all-fighter lists, and I think only two all-fighter lists made top eight. Most intriguing that made it was 3 x Phantoms (Whisper + two Sigmas).

The tournament was a lot of fun 10 people showed up due to weather.

I had made my list to smash big ships, but only faced one. It turns out it works well vs. B-wings and the Alpha Interceptors that actually moved before me. That helped my bombs kill 3 of them.

I ended up going 6-0 and taking first place. I only lost one B-Wing the whole tournament! There was 4 rounds of swiss and a cut to the top 4. Overall there was a great variety of lists. Several Decimator and Phantoms, none of which made it to the top 4 which was surprising to me!

i finished dead last with 1 win being my bye lol, but then again i had never used a swarm before and all i wanted was my Soontir card. However i did not make very many mistakes and you just can't fight these huge turrets with a swarm especially when they one shot tie's with easy. In my last game i had 5 consecutive ties die to either Whisper or RAC with Expose one shotting them.

If your TIEs were being one-shotted, it wasn't the guy shooting getting 3+ hits a turn. It was your evade dice (3 of them) totally failing.

I've done that a lot. The first 30 minutes my dice are totally on fire. Hits-n-Crits and triple evades...who is the tactical genius! Then the next 30 minutes its my ships are on fire as my dice go cold. Blanks-n-Eyes (without Focus) without an evade in site...its all my dices fault!!!

I finally pulled off my first Store Champion win yesterday at Imperial Outpost in Glendale Arizona! 20 players attended, everyone was polite, I saw lots of good sportsmanship, and it was a great overall experience as a player (regardless of my win).

I'll edit this as it finishes but just getting back from getting knocked out of top 4 at the Store Championship at Board Room Game Cafe in Halifax, NS. Here's the top 4 lists:

Honestly as much as I love Echo there were some critical times the extra focus from Whisper would've helped me, easily could've dropped Intel agent and Lone Wolf and ran VI+Whisper, ah well. Feel like I was pretty doomed (no pun intended) up against Double Decimators anyway, especially with Vader and Rebel Captive on them.

Three Vader crews in the top 4, none could make it past Zee Crit Swarm (I lost to it in the round robin as well).
