Anything that makes 1 agility die better will just make Kenkirk better too. Yes, his agility doesn't kick in right away, but you have 12 hull when it kicks in, which is almost as good as the 13 health that the YT has to begin with. But he's already taken 4 damage to get to that point.

sadly (or perhaps for the better) Kenkirk does not have the Ps necessary to be as an enormous a pain in the ass as Han or Chiraneau

he makes up for it by letting you overact and yell "KHHHHHHHAAAAANNNNNNNN!" when auto-thrusters start canceling your damage

In today's meta I agree. But with Scum coming out and IG-88's all being PS6, there might be a time when having PS8+ isn't the end all. And since w'e're talking in the hypothetical where there is something that makes green dice better, I thought we might as well talk about the hypothetical when high PS isn't everything.

Either way, this has gotten well off topic of Store Championship results, even if it started by comparing the top represented squad data as analyzed by the SC results.

I'm not saying they're the same. But I think it's ignorant for people to say there are no similarities between the two.

P.S. EI+Expose on RAC is just nasty. Han can't do that.

Respectfully, your entire post proves my point that they are not at all the same. You wrote extensively about the offensive threat that RAC poses that Han doesn't quite match. I wrote about how RAC and even Kenkirk can't really match the full tanking potential of Fat Han.

I don't know why Han "can't" do EI+Expose... its just not playing to his strengths, and not optimal, therefore you don't see anyone doing.

Edit: Oops, you're right, off-topic from Store Champ, I'll stop! Sorry!

11 Hull. not 12. ;)

:(

Nope.

Speaking of tourney reports, I think the Google doc is missing a few new tournaments from this thread. Can some brave volunteer to take over administration of it? Your task, should you choose to accept it!

1) After a tourney has been 100% (where 100% is all reported lists from this thread, not all lists) entered into list juggler, remove it from the google doc

2) If its not in the google doc, paste it into the google doc

3) Create a new tourney in list juggler, and paste the url of the tourney into the google doc

My work/life right now is such that I have very little time for things other than work, family, commute, and the occasional X-Wing gaming at night; during my commute is when I program juggler, and I'd rather not own data input for this project as well :-)

For all you other brave volunteers who were scrambling to take ownership of the Google doc but were ninja'd by ___INSERT NAME____ below - more volunteering work is still needed for actually entering the lists into juggler! Join the google doc. There is a chat session happening inside of it and a lot of lists still left to enter.

heads up, someone or something has been actively deleting lists from unlocked tourneys in juggler. I have a backup from yesterday which I'll restore, and see what I can salvage from one folks entered since the last backup. the originating IP address is google's web crawler, so it is possible that google is crawling the pages and unintentionally traversing links that cause lists to get deleted and re-entered. Or that someone is spoofing google's IP address.

Stay tuned. For now don't enter new data, I'll post an all clear :-)

I had noticed a list from Seattle's Game Gurus had disappeared last week, but assumed the TO did it.

Yeah, that would have been the tourney admin. Ok, I've restored to yesterday's backup and merged in the last day's changes. we broke 100k!

the issue was most certainly google's web crawler spidering through all of juggler's links and hitting the 're-enter lists' links. so, my bad :-( I've disabled the re-enter links thing until I can see what convention here is (web design convention, not robots.txt convention)

If our Store Championship ended with the swiss but we still need to schedule the Top 8 cut, I should wait until the full tournament is done before exporting LIst Juggler, right?

Game Kastle Fremont (California Bay Area) current top 8 after 5 rounds of swiss. We're still figuring out another weekend in Feb/March to complete the top 8. I'll put the tournament in List Juggler as well as all the lists then.

Very interesting tournament following the heels of the Deci-Phantom Store Champs at Black Diamond Games 2 weeks ago. Lots of deci-phantom hate lists and Deci-Phantoms were almost nowhere to be seen.

6 Rebels out of 8 in the top 8, 2 swarms, 2 double pancakes (YT3700 lists), and 2 lists with X-WINGS in the top 8. More to come as I input lists manually from paper.

  1. BJ Ramos 4 0 1 21 900 Corran (VI, FCS, R2-D2, EU), Chewbacca (PtL, C3PO, Lando, MF, APL)
  2. Bernie Lin 4 1 0 20 728 Corran (VI, FCS, R2-D2, EU), Jake (VI, PtL, Hull), Tarn (R7)
  3. Daniel Walker 4 1 0 20 664 Han (Leebo, Predator, MF, C3PO), Keyan (VI, AdS), Bandit
  4. David Chow 4 1 0 20 634 Carnor (VI), Howl (VI), Mauler (VI), 3xAP
  5. Eric Chen 4 0 1 19 695 3xRookie, 3xBandit
  6. Martin Camacho 4 1 0 18 579 Whisper (VI, ACD, FCS, Recon), Soontir (PtL), OGP (Mara, RC)
  7. Nathan Forget 3 2 0 15 692 Leebo (EU, HLC, Outrider, Determination), Chewbacca (C3PO, LW, MF, Nien)
  8. Jason Phillips 3 2 0 15 619 Han (VI, Tact Jammer, Lando), Dash (VI, HLC, Outrider)

kryzak, you can enter the results now if you like -- unless you are using cryodex, in which case I'd wait until the end of the tourney. you can always go back and edit the 1-4th or 1-8th championship results at the very end.

Thanks for the heads up Sozin. I'm using Cryodex, so I'll probably wait until the end.

Some creative lists here. I entered the tourney into juggler here: http://lists.starwarsclubhouse.com/get_tourney_details?tourney_id=186

Here are the results of the Store Championship at The Gaming Spot in Bakersfield, CA (2/8/15). I didn’t attend, but I don’t think the results were posted to the List Juggler. 18 players with 4 rounds of Swiss (75 mins), and cut to Top 8.

Added to Google doc for some intrepid soul to do data entry ; tourney here

Otto's Video Games and More in Bakersfield held their X-wing Miniatures Store Championship 2015.

so i just wona store champ at Lost Ark Games, Stevenage, UK. 20 players, 4 rounds, then top 8 cut.

top 4 were (roughly in some cases)

1st:

4x Academy Tie

2x Alpha Squadron

Dark Curse

2nd:

Rear Admiral, EU, Rebel Captive, Determination

Krassis, HLC, RecSpec

3rd/4th

1 Proto Awing, refit

3x Green Awing, refit, PTL

Jake, refit, PTL

Kenkirk, vader, predator, mof, rebel captive

Rexler, HLC, VI

will get the guys to forward full results if possible

happy to see the swarm can still hack it.

It's after he gets a damage card so 11 health but point still stands. Problem is that he can get hit for a a lot on the hit where he's right on the threshold to activate his ability so that can leave him at half health when it finally does.

IE shields down, 12 hull left, 0 agility, gets hit by a range 1 shot (could be up to 5+ if a combination of Phantom / Jan / Expose / Opportunist), now at 8 or less health and agility kicks in.

I don't have the full results, but here's the top 4 (to the best of my memory) from the 16-man Louisville, KY tournament at Pet Shop Comics:

1. Jeff Ivey

Han Solo + Gunner + Predator + Recon Specialist (+ Millenium Falcon?)

Corran Horn + R2-D2 + Fire-Control System + Veteran Instincts

2. Gordon Berg

Rear Admiral Chiraneau + Gunner + Engine Upgrade + Veteran Instincts

"Whisper" + Advanced Cloaking Device + Rebel Captive + Fire-Control System + Veteran Insincts

3. Me

"Echo" + Advanced Cloaking Device + Recon Specialist + Fire-Control System + Veteran Instincts

Soontir Fel + Hull Upgrade + Push the Limit + Targeting Computer

Omicron Group Pilot + Darth Vader

4. some kid whose name I forget

Commander Kenkirk + Advanced Proton Torpedoes + Gunner + Rebel Captive + (Predator?)

Bounty Hunter + Proton Bombs + Ion Pulse Missiles

The event was a lot of fun. There were only 4 lists with zero turrets, mine included (though one only had a Y-Wing). I think there was one large ship per player, including 4th place and a double-Lambda Decimator list.

I wish I could have made it there... stupid icy slush.

My Tarnation build (Tarn w/ 6 Zs) would have loved facing most everything there! :D

Store championship at The Friendly Troll in Toronto

zebratwat[S]:

I ran 4 b-wings with a z-95. I didn't see a lot of the lists you expect to see. I faced a phantom decimator list, the same soontir decimator list twice, 2x 2y ion/stress list, 2interceptor krassis dark curse, and I can't remember the first match of the day very well I think it was something like a sigma and a mini swarm. We had 12 players with only one falcon present, no yt2400, and only a few phantoms.

I played in my store championship today. There were only 12, which was surprising. Last year were over 20. There was a chance of snow earlier and that might have scared some off. Out of the 12, there were only 2 lists with big turreted ships. One had Outrider and the other had 2 Decimators. The store didn't use Cryodex, but we forced them to download it. I will try to get all the lists for the event to plug into Juggler. I am also trying to get the placements, but I can report on the Top 4.

I went with a list of 4 Tie Bombers and was the only undefeated person after 4 rounds! I even faced the local champ and beat him. I was feeling great before going into the Final Four.

1) me w/ Jonus & 3 Scimitar Pilots. All had Seismic Charges and various ordnance.

2) Andrew w/ "Just Phantoms 3" 3 x generic Phantoms w/ recon specialist, FCS, and Stygium Particle Accelerator

3) 2 Decimators - can't recall which

4) 2 B-wings and 2 Z-95 - don't know details

The one list I knew I couldn't defeat was the 3 Phantoms. They ripped me apart. I almost just barely almost got him down to one Phantom and might've had a chance of running for a win or modified win, but nope. That Tie Phantom list won in the end.

The decimators were Kirk and oicunn. All I recall otherwise were Mara jade and rebcap being in the list
