So, in that last chart, we can see that about 35% (or so) of all the points spent were on BTS (Big Turreted Ships)? I wonder if there is a way to see how many lists have a BTS vs. not.

Not without a custom query, but in the meantime this will help answer that question in a qualitative way:
so we can easily crowdsource list inputs.
I'll enter a few in as I have time.
Part of what I want to see is not necessarily the winners, but just the sheer number of lists that have BTS (big turreted ships) in them. It's not so much a question as to what's winning, but just on sheer number of lists with them. Part of my beef with the "meta" isn't what's OP or not. It's what I'm tired of playing against all the time.

Do you know if Kat has the lists and standings? (I assume Kat TO'ed). And, I think that was Saturday, Jan 7th. ![]()
Seems to be a theme at all store championships. 1 glorious bastard takes first with some crazy out of the park list, and is promptly followed by a deluge of boring Wave 5 copy-pastes.
Unfortunately missed that happening over here. I was slapped out early because of some truly abysmal dice (no evades for me, never less than 2 or 3 for Dash/Corran) and the crazy pro with Airen/Roark/Tarn/B-wing managed to beat everyone except the guy who liked to use Lando (crew) on Han solo (give you two green guesses as to why). He took 2nd and the whisper + chiraneau clone he beat in the 3rd round took first ![]()
Green dice seem to favor the Wave 5 meta.

I would assume she has them or can get them. She was actually playing, (hers is that TIE swarm in the top 8) and someone from the store was running the rounds... but he used Cryodek as far as I can tell.

I just sent <[email protected]> an email, hopefully they can get back to me with the cryodex file and the lists, and/or upload it themselves. They got us the Regionals results last year.

It just prove that the meta is overrated. You have to put some thought into your list, but you don't have to take a turret to win a tournament. It certainly help, but turrets is not the auto-win that some people seems to think these days.

It's evil. You don't want to shoot at Tarn but you have to. Meanwhile 6 Zs blast you.

That would be me!
I came up with a variant of it independently (Stealth instead of Hull), and Deroche pointed out the Tarnation version to me (Dom's version), and I ran it, and viola, I won! Woohoo! ![]()

I had a lot of fun running this build. I had run pure Z-swarms before and was unhappy with their damage output. I had been playing with a different build that had tarn in it but it wasn't working in the local meta. I started looking to see how others run Z-swarms since I had heard they do well. Dom's build popped out at me as the solution to the quick damage curve. It was a blast to fly and an exhausting 14hr tournement.

Congratulations to James for his Championship win! Going undefeated for the entire match.
In my game against James, "Whisper" was devastating! If the first attack didn't hit you, his second attack (Gunner) would most likely do a lot a damage (Fire Control System). Then he'd cloak after the attack (Adv. Cloaking Device), AND get a focus (pilot ability). Broken!
His Doom Shuttle also hit me with the most ugly crits. My Wedge got Blinded Pilot (lose an attack), AND Injured Pilot (ignore pilot ability and Predator upgrade). Hacker!
A special shout out to the SoCal X-Wing players, Brandon, Eric, and David (who had to leave early because of a family emergency). Thanks for coming up to make the tournament more exciting! We'll see if some of us can come down there for some games.

Crazy weird to see all the rebel swarm and interesting lists do well elsewhere, but here, somehow the last two Store Championships have been won by a phantom-decimator build, and the Top 4 of the elimination rounds were all decimator-ace ship (2 Whispers, 1 Echo, and 1 Soontir).
Yes, #1 and #2 were using identical lists since they were friends and wanted to prove how broken the Whisper-Chiraneau list is.
The ranking below is the final rankings, but here's the Elimination round info. I can't seem to enter the lists in List Juggler (no option to do so).

This looks more like a sign that your local meta hasnt adapted yet rather than them being overpowered.
That is a very easy thing to say, but it doesn't hold up looking at the diversity in the list composition. It is much more likely that those two players are just good at the game and picked a competitive list.

I don't see a lot of Rebel control lists. Maybe that's the next thing for you guys? Stress out the Phantoms?

It's not really an easy fix for Phantoms. Unless you're Stress Wess or Rebel Captive (i.e, specifically causing stress before ACD can kick in) you need to slap on two stress to have a pronounced effect on the phantom. Once Soontir and Vader come crashing into the scene, or really any ship when PTL becomes inveitably even more popular (with auto-thrusters, it probably will), stress in general will become far more valuable.
Now, ioning the phantom will produce results regardless of when it gets ioned ![]()
Anyway, I have to say the problem with that list isn't the phantom, it's the combination of phantom with fattie and a poor scoring system. Utterly lack of partial scoring only compounds how difficult it is to score points against these two very different but very hard to kill ships. The fact that one essentially perfectly covers the weaknesses of the other does not help matters.
