Public Service Announcement
: If you are a TO running an event and using Cryodex (highly recommended, especially for getting us results!), be sure to upgrade to version 3.8.2. To upload results from Cryodex into List Juggler, you will need to upload a .json file, which was implemented in Cryodex in version 3.8.

Crowd Sourcing Request for entering Store Championships lists in this thread
Sozin has put together a google doc for all of the Store Championships in this thread that do
not
have all the lists entered in yet. It can be found here:
https://docs.google.com/document/d/1KTLgNMhZCzVwXao_WJw7MfslygfQB4-hqdhOvQfbcpM/edit?usp=sharing
The tournaments in List Juggler have been set up with the basic info like location, player count, and standings as they have been reported here, but the lists have not been entered yet. Therefore, we are crowdsourcing the entering of the lists as they are reported here. There are links to each tournament in the google doc to make it easier to find.
All of these tournaments are currently "unlocked" for editing, so we can easily crowdsource list inputs.
Thanks!

This thread is to record the 2015 Store Championship Results.
But wait!
There is a new way of recording data...
No longer will we (I) have to manually record all the results as they are posted here on this thread. You won't have to wait on me to pull in the results into the first page and then run statistics to see what is popular. Tournament organizers and players will instead be able to upload their own results, and if they use Cryodex, a huge treasure trove of round-by-round data will automatically be uploaded.
Sozin and I proudly present... (

X-Wing List Juggler

OK, this is actually all Sozin's (Lyle Hayhurt) doing. He did all the work, I was just the inspiration, and I get to give him feature requests for how to record the data and run statistics. So a
huge
shout-out to Sozin for getting this done, and continually updating the site to increase its functionality and work out the bugs.
What is List Juggler?
Sozin has a really good post describing List Juggler on Team Covenant, so if you are running a Store Championship, or are playing in one locally and are lobbying for the data to get recorded, then you absolutely should go read his full post
here
.
Otherwise here's the cliff notes summary:
- The Tournament Organizer runs the event, preferably using the Cryodex Tournament Software which can be downloaded here (brief description here ). The TO saves all of the squad list sheets, preferably from voidestate. (More on this later: basically it is easy to pull in the lists directly if you have the list ID from Voidestate -- we should be working with the other squad builders to pull in their lists based on IDs eventually as well.)
- The TO (or a player from the event) then goes to List Juggler and creates a new tournament. You have to enter some basic information like location, tournament type (Store Championship, Regionals, Nationals, Worlds, Vassal, other), legal expansions, and Venue name. If the tournament was recorded in Cryodex, then you should also import the results directly during this step. this will record the round-by-round results, complete with specific player matchups and points destroyed / MoV.
- Next the player names and standings need to be entered. If you imported the results from Cryodex, then this step should be done for you automatically.
- Now the lists themselves need to be uploaded. This can be crowdsourced, and done by anyone who has the list, although typically this will just be one person. Once the player list is populated from step 3, you can click on each name to enter their list. The easiest way to do this is to enter the List ID from Voidestate, and List Juggler will go get the list for you automatically and populate all the fields. Right now voidestate does not print out the list ID when you print out a hard copy, but hopefully this will be updated soon. So if you are a TO, please tell your players ahead of time to write down their Voidestate List ID if they are bringing a list printed from Voidestate . If the list was written down by hand at the time of the tournament, then you will need to manually enter in the lists into List Juggler . List Juggler has a basic squadron builder in it so you can enter each player's list details.
- Sit back and enjoy browsing tournament results!
The statistical analysis side still isn't fully up and running, as the first steps are to simply get all of the data entered in smoothly. We do have some basic pie graphs for overall points spent, but nothing as complicated as weighting by success and tournament size, or conditional effectiveness. But we will eventually have lots of charts and graphs with all sorts of filtering options. I will eventually be running some statistics on my own as well, as the data can all be output to .csv, and I have a basic script set up to parse the data from Worlds. I plan on incrementally redoing my analysis to work with
List Juggler's
outputs, posting the results here, and then working with Sozin to also roll it into
List Juggler
.
If you have any questions or find any bugs, please post them here or on the
List Juggler discussion thread
and we'll get them cleaned up ASAP. OK, actually Sozin will be doing it since he maintains the code.
Special recognition also goes out to
Rakky Wistol
, who got the entire concept of recording Store Championship results started with his
