Im getting one for the Mangler cannon alone. My YT2400 will enjoy it !
IG-2000???
Yeah, I suspect you are hoping for a little too much. A large base ship that has to dogfight will have a few troubles.
It's also a large base with 3 Agility that can take Autothrusters and has the Boost and Evade action built in. It's the same price as the Firespray but gets an EPT slot. Assuming that they all have decent pilot abilities and the two ship meta from Wave 5 sticks around they should probably do alright. Two of them should be able to do a decent job of chasing down and herding higher PS big base turrets to insure that one IG-2000 will always have a shot and that the turret ship will be shooting at them out of arc to trigger Autothrusters.

I think AdvS and Inertial Dampeners may be an auto-include in order to compensate for the single arc large base design of the ship.
As long as its dial is decent, which is should be at least Firespray like (likely better), I think it will have no trouble dog fighting. That Segnor will take getting used to, but should open up a lot of possibilities.
Not sure if this has come up in other places. But any chance the two cannon slots are for a double-barrel shotgun effect? I'm imagining something like Corran Horn's double-tap, but instead two shots at once then no shot next round.
Edited by R4B2I have a feeling the dial will be the best large ship dial we will have seen to date (even better than the YT2400) mostly because I have a feeling it will have more green than just 1 set of banks and a couple straights. I feel fairly confident that it has either 2 sets of green banks (1 and 2) or a set of Green turns.
This is just a gut feeling because it seems to be stat'd more like a small base ship on a big base and having these options seems like it definitely would separate it further from the existing larges
I dont think it will be possible to field all four IG-2000's at the same time due to they all cost 36 points without any upgrades....unless you have a friend that is willing to play two IG-2000's for team play.. but they might have changed the cost on all the ships they havent released any further spoilers on the ship...
To be fair, we're all assuming that every IG2000 will be 36 points. It's entirely possible for some room there depending on how they price the other pilot abilties. Until we get the reveal, we can't know for sure.
Run the Aggressor with Adrenaline Rush, Advanced Sensors, and Inertial Dampeners, with the one pilot thats been spoiled so far. Go where you want when you, and not get stressed when you need that clutch maneuver.
I thought the Dampeners make you do a White (Stop) and then take a stress? Adrenaline Rush wouldn't do anything with that, unfortunately. Still great for a white SLoop in a pinch though!
True, but SableGryphon did a great piece a while back showing that since the Aggressor(IG88D) can do a Hard 3 Kturn pretty much, that many opponents might decide to K-turn in a joust to at least have a shot. Dampener opens that up, letting you hit the "Space E-Break" as it were. Best of all, you can decide right before you reveal your dial, so you can do either the soft or hard 3 S-Loop, or a 0. And with sensors you can BR or Boost before any of those. Also remember that the aggressor does the "total wtf" Large base barrel roll, clearing a range band in side movement and/or a full small base forwards and backwards. Its amazingly flexible imo.
None of the revealed S-Loop ships have Barrel Roll, so they'd need to either take Expert Handling or just make due with a Boost. However, a Boost followed by an S-Loop in the same direction is basically on par with an Echo-style decloak for lateral movement. It'll be pretty awesome.
Hardest choice for him is going to be whether to take Countermeasures, EI or Autothrusters for his modification slot.
I'm really excited by 88D, and will be picking up two of these when they come out. I'd get four, but I'd never have that many points.

Woops, saw Evade and though it was BR. Derp.
I also blame Voidstate's builder for having the wrong action as well.
