Tekken 6. Characters Revealed. Woot!

By Rockstar2, in UFS General Discussion

Just saw the Press Release on FFG's main page and i'm excited all over again for July to roll around and bring us Tekken 6!

The characters that are confirmed are Kazuya, Nina, Paul, King and Christie!

Can't wait to see how they replicate King's Throw Combos in UFS, as well as maybe Capoera done right??

Okay, i'm done...discuss!! gran_risa.gif

Miss Monteiro is one of my mains in T5, however, she is the least flagship of the crew... I hope this doesn't translate into a oddball or shot in the dark character card ^^

All of the characters will be great additions I'm sure!

I'm especially interested in what some of the bigger attacks will be. Tekken is a lot more throw based than most other fighters and typically showcases some nice chains and quick matches... Should be interesting.

Heihachi better be in there, and he better rock. Or someone is going to have to pay.

Heihachi won't be in the set, as it's a 5 character set and those 5 were already confirmed =/

Kazuya, however, is.

Also, Heichachachachi hasn't been relevant to the storyline since 5.

I think Heihachi would make an awesome Promo card, however. As would Devil Jin. gui%C3%B1o.gif

You're brave for using a capoeirista =)

She has little to no bearing on the story whatsoever, and was only created due to the fact that the creators felt Eddy's capoeira was best suited for a female.

However, she has a relatively interesting playstyle, and will assumedly be kick-based.

Bah, needless to say I'm pissed to see T6 without Jin, but oh well, one day. While Paul is one of my most hated Tekken characters (borefest?), I can see him being loaded with Powerful and with just good attacks overall.

Oh yeah, and if they don't give King combo throw after combo throw, they have failed as designers.

Tekken is juggles!!

Kazuya....AWESOME!!! I don't really care for the others really. Though it is nice to see what they are going to add to the card game with the characters fighting style.

I was hoping for Baek and Hwaroang (however you spell it again), one of those, Brian Fury, Julia, Marshall/Forest Law....Oh what am I saying. I want them all to be in there....but I can't wait til it's out though..!!!

Hwoarang

Well, Christie certainly does stand out amongst the otherwise all Tekken-1 crowd. But like I said, they could do some interesting things with her.

I'm curious as to who will be in the next Tekken. Better yet, when the next Tekken will be?

Not borefest...

BROFIST.

I was hoping to see the inclusion of Lei Wu Long. Especially since the new Tira is so interesting with her Gloomy/Jolly Action cards, i could easily see something like that representing Lei's Five Animal Fist style.

Screw all you; I'm waiting to see how they make Mokujin.

Unlike Olcadan, he's a recurring character with a background, interludes, the whole shebang.

brrr... Cody as tree person. Sometimes tree person with weird knots in the upper chest area...

Tekken really has some very interesting characters, at least, the secondary cast is pretty oddballish to say the least.

I'm pretty sure Mokujin would have the life symbol. lol, watch him make it top tier!?!?

i would think moku would maybe be sorta like twelve where you can copy all your opponents attacks.

Either that or maybe he has like 2 symbols + infinity..or maybe sorta like tira where he has Ability/symbol A if going first and ability/symbal B when second

So far, my idea is looking to not only take your opponent's character's abilities, but to actually swap them.

I'd hope they'd do something similar.

I can say with full conviction I dont think they will ever make Mokujin

Or Roger :(

Or The Bear :(

It makes me sad really.

Heihachi has been more relevant to the storyline than Paul or Christie... what has that got to do with anything? Hopefully he gets a promo slot as he is an awesome ass-kickin old man.

i just hope we see the return of gaint attacks. i miss the turn 2 kills of legacy.

well...

At this point, it's any wonder when ANYBODY will come out. UFS has gone from "ugh, the entire game's roster will be spoiled if they keep releasing 11 characters!" to "at 5 chars and 1 release per release...we may never see any game finished, especially with re-printing older characters".

It may take forever, but Mokujin will at least be a promo. I understand he has no definitive attacks because he's basically picking Random, but he has enough background info for actions, assets, and foundations.

Still, he's worthy of being a promo, and one that is more balanced than Olcadan. I'd give him All/Life/Void. Anybody who knows of his story would understand.

But like I said, due to the reprinting of older characters being popular, 5 chars per set and 1 release per release (except for every February release, which is 2 sets, 8 chars each), it will take a while for ANY game to get through their chars (except Darkstalkers, which already has lol).

And we are up to what...6? Wow, that's a long time ot be out of the story. Nice.

No Law is odd. Also would be interested to see Tekken Yoshimitsu.

But seriously, one word. Gon.

I think most Tekken fans want Heihachi to die already. There's no way Wang is gonna make it to Tekken 7, not at 106 years old. Heihachi has had his time, and for God's sake, why did he have to survive a honmaru explosion? HE DOESN'T EVEN HAVE THE DEVIL GENE! So yeah, I hope he dies by T7.

I'm assuming Yoshimitsu will be in the next Soul Calibur. It'd make sense; we have no playable one, and it was supposed to coincide with Tekken...

No Law isn't weird; he's never been an integral character, and while he is much more interesting than Fei Long, he's pretty much just generic Chinese-American.

No Gon. Crappy character is crappy, and is Tekken 3-only. Roger Jr only plz

I happen to hate Tekken. So, whatever comes out is no bother. Just keep a good symbol balance and I don't care who or what pictures are on the darn cards.

YOU think most Tekken fans want Heihachi dead. Good thing that's not the same as fact. Not having needing the devil gene to be a bad-ass is part of what makes him so appealing.

HDC - You ought to do yourself a favor and do some research. When I first saw King of Fighters, I thought it was just some cheesy rip-off of Street Fighter, and that KOF fanboys were nothing more than people who weren't around for the greatness of SFII.

Then I did some research, learned about the characters, the KOF world, and all the other worlds it was comprised of (art of fighting, fatal fury, etc), and I gotta say, I've completely changed my thoughts. The two are similar to an extent, but the differences are EXTREMELY present, and I can definitely say I'm quite into KOF, even MI2 (2006).

Fuuma - To each their own. I realize the time frame of T3-6 isn't really a huge one, but Namco is starting to drift away from Tekken's "let's introduce a TON of new characters, and leave some of the older ones", to "let's introduce a few new characters, and keep ALL of the older ones", which is one of the many reasons I hate Soul Calibur. Tekken 2, Tekken 3, and Tekken 4 all felt extremely fresh. New mechanics game-to-game, and a boatload of new characters, while cycling out older characters.

While I still believe T5-DR is the best Tekken, I gotta say, they're going to have to start getting rid of some characters eventually. Not killing them off persay, just not including them every game.

Yes, I am sick and tired of Heihachi Mishima. I had nothing but tears of joy when I found out that the only good Mishima in T6BR is Jin Kazama, and that, for the first time in Tekken's history, Devil Jin, Kazuya, and Heihachi, are all "mid tier" at best. But my hatred for Heihachi isn't that he's constantly top tier, it's that he's so old, somehow survived an explosion (no explanation there), and as Hatman pointed out, isn't really relevant to the story.

After T6, I'm looking forward to some new villains, and new groups that threaten the world, not just, "MFG here, Tekken Force there".
