Villain Rewards?

By Scribbles, in Star Wars: Imperial Assault

Help me out, as I'm somewhat confused on this point.

The rules say once you unlock an ally or villain as a reward, you can use them in any mission. NOw, I know on the rebel side, say if you play 'Homecoming' it now says players may use Luke if they win the mission.

So, as an Imp player, how do you receive Villains as a reward? Are they only playable per the scenario imp setup in this campaign book, or am I missing something? I couldn't find any reward area that specifically says 'Imp player receives Darth Vader' or whoever, as a reward, thus unlocking them for play within any mission.

Thanks for any help you guys can provide!

Vaders command agenda set that comes with Vader I believe has a way for you to get Vader. Will confirm in a few when i can get my cards in hand.

For Vader, you have to first draw the appropriate agenda card and spend influence to change the side mission. Then, if Rebels take that side mission next (if they can take a side mission that is), you play the Vader mission. If you win, you get Vader. If they win, you don't. If they choose a different side mission, you get Vader.

If I recall correctly, when you start the campaign, you build the agenda deck using X number of sets. One of those sets came with Vader, and thus his agenda cards. For future villains, I'm sure it will work the same. I think IG-88 is in the campaign book somewhere though as a reward, but I might be wrong.

Unfortunately, IG-88 is only in one mission in the campaign and it doesn't grant him as a reward. You have to buy the villain pack in order to gain him as a reward and use him in other missions.

Thanks for the help, guys!
