Talents and Beasts

By zypher, in Star Wars: Age of Rebellion RPG

Hey guys, I can't find a specific ruling in "Stay on Target". Beasts are NOT counted as a vehicle as far as Driver and Pilot talents are concerned.. correct? There's a list of actions and manuevers that you can use with beasts. Are the Beast Rider talents the ONLY talents that apply when you're mounted? I tend to think so, "Let's Ride" specifies that you "may mount or dismount a vehicle or beast, or enter a cockpit or weapon station on a vehicle, as an incidental". They single out beast so that's my logic. What are your thoughts?

A number of the talents in the beast rider tree are intended to mimic some of the talents that you might find in a pilot or driver tree. However, given that Survival is the skill used to "steer" a beast, rather than Piloting, they are intended to be separate. The profile conversion rules were intended to provide a level playing field when vehicles and ridden beasts were present in a given situation. It shows, for example, how fast a horse/equinoid can run in comparison to different types of airspeeders, for example. Other than that, the maneuvers that I wrote up for Stay on Target were intended to be for riding beasts...

Exceptions allowing the Signature Abilities to be used with beasts appear too.
