Howbout a unique that adds a hit result to the roll whenever you spend a target lock? Wording would have to be something like "When you spend a blue target lock to make an attack, or spend a target lock to reroll dice, add one <hit> result to the roll.

Of course it'd have to be fairly expensive, cause it has uses after ordinance is spent.

Howbout a 2 pointer that lets you stress yourself to add an evade result to your defense roll, provided you aren't already stressed? Better elusiveness that doesn't require an EPT. I'd take this with, well lotsa stuff, but it strikes me as a good way to make rookie pilots meaner. Or I guess to have a super tanky Ywing.

R9 Astromech - When a missle or torpedo says you must discard a Blue Target Lock, you may use it to reroll ALL attack dice instead.

This way, it's not as good as a regular TL, but at least you still get something for having the **** thing other than permission to fire off a one shot attack that will likely miss anyway.

Perhaps something like this. If you spent a blue target lock this attack you may re-rolled all your dice. you must re-roll as many dice as you can. (and just to make sure no mistakes) you cannot re-roll any dice that has already been re-rolled (so people don't try it with primary weapons).

Now the last part is in the core rule book but I can see it as a rule that can easily get missed so it might not hurt to reiterate it on the card. This upgrade will basically be like Han's ability but only for attacks that require you to spend your target lock. Unless you are trying to waste the ability by re-rolling only 1 dice with a target lock to re-roll the rest.

There are some issues though. If it is an astromech slot then only Rebel Y-wing, X-wings and E-wing can take it. So it will help torpedoes but not missiles. If it is a crew slot then it will help the YT-ships (which don't need that much help now) and B-wings (again doing just fine) and the Firespray (which actually needs a bit of a boost). The trick is to provide the benefit to the target ships (the ones that are struggling) without giving an across the board upgrade which will just be slurped up by the top meta tiers.
