I have found two release dates of Jan 5th and Jan 7th.
Edited by LoudGarouThe Scurge warlord pack
Perhaps one for the US and one for elsewhere?
FFG has posted anything official (i Think) but Alliance distribution is the source for the 5th date.
And FRP Games shows it in stock NOW
Edited by TekwychThe 5th should be the date, the Dutch can expect it around the 7th-15th.

FFG upcoming page has said the fifth since it went to shipping status.
Isn't it strange to have a release date on a Monday?
Distributors like alliance won't even ship until the release date so a store that gets their shipment on a Thursday won't receive anything that has a ship date after Tuesday, the day Alliance would send that order off. By placing the street date on a Monday all shipments for the week can include the product.
Seems like the most reasonable day to have a release like any other day that is a working day.
Well, its the 5th, and no sign of it. Ho hum.

You may have posted this a bit early.
Heh, there it is!
...and... ordered!
And looks like the Orks are the stars of the show, according to that linked article, anyway!
Edited by Prepare for WarChaos Warlord pack has been in stores for like 3-4 days already in Finland Sadly there isn't that much of a scene that I know of. At least in the Helsinki area.

+++ Just kidding mate +++
Edited by KillaxI know, 4 minutes right?
Played some games out of octgn with this pack, and the meta has just shifted again, dramatically.
Dark Eldar really didn't need the boost, but I believe they've just jumped to the top of the meta.

Ah I believe the pendulum swings both ways !

I should get my first games with this pack in tonight. Now I just have to decide if I am going to play Ku'gath first or my main faction, Dark Eldar... decisions decisions..

If true, then this is discouraging. (as a new gamer with this wonderful game, I don't care to play against/with decks that are overly powerful or somewhat 'broken')
Well as mentioned the pendulum swings both ways.
For sure the Klaivex Warrior is awesome, however both Nurglings and Dakka Dakka Dakka! Are a very realistic awnser to tokens and a multitude of X/1 bodies (like the Razorwings etc).
On the other hand Ku'gath offers the Chaos player a whole new way to play. Not needing units in order to commit to a certain planets unlike Zarathur. Ku'gath also is very able to go to town on pretty much any 0,1 and 2 drop (with the exception of the 2/4's).
Last but not least Orks got another 2-Shield card, another Ork high HP beater unit AND a Support card that can really put the game in your advantage against many SM's.

I prefer to wait and see for myself, before judging & listening to people judge meta shifts.

Personally, I tend to do both. I like to read about people's predictions/experience with new cards and how they will change the meta, but I don't consider them the final say on how good a card is until I have tried it.

Don't be discouraged: I'm speculating on the current faction balance of the game, not saying that the game is broken or OP.
There are no broken or OP cards in the game (yet). There's definitely a scale of how good cards are, but the game is well balanced and well designed.
What we're looking at broadly is faction tiering. What this basically says is "given a skilled deck builder and skilled player, which factions are most likely to take you to tournament win?"
The random factor of the game has a small role of course, player skill has a huge role and meta (the environment which the decks are played in) has the biggest role of all. As a result, its absolutely the case that a faction that is considered low tier may be played to first place. For example, at time of Howl of Blackmane , I considered Chaos to be a lower tier faction, but also recognised that Ragnar decks have a lot of trouble with Chaos. Thus, if you played in a non-prize store tournament with a lot of players just after the pack came out, then Chaos would have been very strong as it would have been faced by at leasy 50% Ragnar Blackmane decks.
Also, of course, an individual players read on the situation may not be accurate, nor even the communities. We were quite convinced on cardgamedb that DE were weak out of the gate, but this proved to be incredibly wrong.
For reference, here's my read on where the meta was and is:
CORE SET ONLY:
Top tier: Cato, Kith,
Middle tier: Shadowsun, Eldorath,
Low tier: Zarathur, Nazdreg, Straken
PLUS HOWL OF BLACKMANE:
Top tier: Cato, Kith, Ragnar
Middle tier: Shadowsun, Eldorath, Zarathur,
Low tier: Nazdreg, Straken
PLUS SCOURGE
Top tier: Kith
Middle tier: Cato, Shadowsun, Straken, Ku'gath,
Low tier: Ragnar, Eldorath, Zarathur, Nazdreg,
Re: the lower tier now, its not so much that those decks have got worse, more that Kith is looking really strong, and other decks have moved up. Notably dropping is Eldorath, as the Eldar have not seen much love over these two packs. Meanwhile DE, who started strong, have received a great 5/5 card from each new pack.
Edited by Prepare for WarGood post PfW. (and I wasn't thinking that you meant that the game was broken; it isn't)
While I might be jumping too early but Kith continuing its dominance is somewhat worrying. (which I wold also agree with)
Edited by Papa MidnightPlayed my first game with the Scourge pack last night - tried out my Tau and my Guard Deck.
Bor'kan Recruits - can't say enough good things about these guys. Great for control (sure, only one command but I still managed to have a good spread with them), +2 ATK for any Warlord being present, and only 2 cost. Really good low cost unit, which is just what my deck needed. The Blacksun Filter really helped me out as well. I've teamed with Eldar for this deck so it's at a point now where I can ditch Void Pirate and Rogue Trader. Just got 2 Survivalists and then Piranha's/Filters for extra goodies.
Death from Above has also been good for me too so far - Allows me to get my Piranha's out cheaper, and I put the Soaring Falcon back in the deck so that there's more options to use with the card.
ATM leaving out Kuyron Strike, along with Homing Beacon and one Prelate, until Aun'Shi turns up next month. Also chucked in a Black Guardian or two, just to again beef up the 2-point roster. Not as good, but good health so very usable in a fight.
On the Guard side of things. Chucked in all three Mordians. Great replacement for the Psyker, which I've been looking to ditch for a while. Even better for control, cheap... sure, they don't pack much of a punch and are only 'conscripts', but another good addition.
Chucked in two Inquisitorial Fortresses. Not sure how I feel about them yet but I got a use out of one, which made a unit run away when I needed it to. Plus good fodder for Infantry Conscripts if I'm not using it.
Didn't go with any Dozer Blades... I've got AM lead with SM, which means I have more vehicle than I initially realised, but couldn't really find space for it at the mo. Might change that, but I also chucked in a couple of Fenrisian Wolves, so if they don't work out might just swap them out for two Dozers instead. See what happens.
Man, I love this game and am pumped for more cards. Despite my core deck disadvantage, I'd really love to play in a tournament soon, but I don't know when the next nearest one is here in the UK
At least you've got tournaments in the UK, game's pretty much DOA here (Scandinavia).
The Nordics not taking to it then? Do you think there's a reason behind it or what? I've seen some people trading/selling their core sets purely for the reason that they play other LCG's, like Netrunner, and don't want to get involved in another one.
