What would you ask Alex Davy?

By Rogue Dakotan, in X-Wing

Ask him what sentient socks would say.

How does Stay on Target work with Tetran Cowall?

When you're looking at new ships to put into the game, do you decide on what ship you want and then think what it should do in game, or do you decide on what role you want the ship to fill and then look for a ship that fits that role?

What popular combo has surprised you the most in terms of it being something you didn't anticipate players using?

Would FFG ever consider expansions that did not contain a ship?

Are Aces repaint packs something FFG would consider again in the future?

Would they ever consider a fix to ordnance that was done via FAQ? For example, the fix idea that lets you use the required action in the actual attack (use the TL or Focus in the attack that requires it). The problem with any fix for ordnance is that there are many ships that use it and many items to individually fix. Would they ever consider a fix that was done across the board via FAQ? It's been suggested that it's not their preferred method.

Straightforwardly, as far as I can tell: functionally, if you reveal any K-turn you can turn it into a 1/3/5K or any maneuver the TIE interceptor would normally be able to do at speed 3 or 5.

I'm with the usual suggestion: FFG doesn't like to make changes that way in general, and in X-wing so far they've avoided making major changes by FAQ even when it would have been easier and quicker to do so.

What releases were used in the most unexpected ways?

I would probably guess Expert Handling on Falcons/Firesprays personally for that one

Yes, but wouldn't it be nice to hear it ruled out one way or the other? At least I would like to hear it so I can stop thinking about beating a dead horse.

It would be nice to hear a definitive statement on it, because if nothing else it provides some insight to their design methods.

Like when they said "epic ships have to be smaller than 250m" it made it crystal clear what some of us had been saying for some time.

Just bumping this thread for visibility since our Store Championship is tomorrow and Alex Davy will be there.

How much design time is spent on new concepts for new ships, vs new concepts for older ships?

Why do you think ordnance doesn't see a lot of competitive play?

how do you decide what should be fixed and what should be left alone?

Going through the thread with scrutiny I ended up with the above, especially Vorpal“s have a high chance of elaborate, enthousiastic, and, above all, interesting answers (if you read this Davy, no pressure! ;) )

I still would advice the above questions of our fellow forum Members!

Sure I would love you to ask to send me a corsec green x wing, but I know you won't get an answer on that one ;-P
