Need clarification on Diala's Force Throw

By Reno Shiv, in Star Wars: Imperial Assault

A question was raised during a session asking how Diala's Force Throw ability works. On the card it states "if you pass, push that figure 3 spaces.", we focused on the word push which implies moving in a forward pattern and the question was can Diala use that abilty to bring a target towards her which in my opinion would/should use the language "pull" in the card if that was acceptable.

So my question to the community is, what is the rule clarification on this skill if anyone knows it? Can she only use it to push figures forward 3 spaces or can she manipulate the target 3 spaces anyway she sees fit?

Good question; I've wondered the same thing myself, and I'm not sure of the official answer. If it only allowed push, then there should be language about "the figure must end this movement further from Diala than when it started" or something like that.

Push

Some abilities push figures. The player resolving this ability moves the figure the specified number of spaces.

The figure can be moved in any direction. It does not need to move directly away from the figure using the push ability.
A pushed figure is not voluntarily exiting its space.
Pushing a figure requires no movement points.
If a non-ability effect pushes a figure, such as a mission rule or if a door closes between two spaces occupied by a large figure, the player controlling that figure determines its placement.
While pushing a large figure, it cannot move diagonally and cannot be rotated
As much as it makes no sense whatsoever the Push will grant movement to the target in any direction even if it would mean Pull so that clears up that one for you

Thanks for the ruling Mortalis, should have bothered to look that up instead of assuming it wouldn't be in the rulebook.

No worries dude I also looked up Pull this ruling doesnt exist oddly enough
