Hey I've just bought into the game. Played a few wave 1/2 games with my mate but yet to try out the newer ships. Today I picked up;

Core set, A wing, HWK, E wing, 2 phantoms and a defender.

So trying to come up with lists using what I've got. Imperial would be a standard double phantom double TIE, or if there's a neat trick between a defender and a phantom that I can't see I might roll.with that. The rebel one is the one I'm not sure about so here it is:

A wing: Tycho, push the limit

HWK: Kyle, ion cannon turret, moldy crow, recon specialist

E wing: corran, R2D2

Kyle is obviously a focus battery mainly to load corran up and set up his super bomb turns with the ion cannon. Tycho is kind of there to get me to 100 comfortably but I think he can appreciate the focus to keep him alive. My main question is will it get eaten alive by phantoms and would it be a better idea to take the Roark HWK to beat the phantoms PS, and just generally speaking is it an ok list?

Until you have rebel aces, I'd stay away from the a-wing unless the people you are playing with are okay with you proxying chardaan refit.

If I'm going to run a HWK, it's either Jan Ors to boost an HLC or Roark as an anti phantom.

Ah my bad, have 3 recon cards so I mistook them for pilots. Revised the rebel list, only cards my mate and I don't have between us for either lists is the chardaan refit and I think he'll be happy to let me proxy, and I will offer him a C3PO proxy for his falcon

Roark, ion cannon turret (24)

Corran, R2D2, push the limit, fire control system, shield upgrade (48)

Tycho, push the limit, chardaan refit (27)

Roark seems kind of a waste outside of vsing phantoms since his friends are ps 8 already, but ion cannon on a stick is awesome and the only option I've got for that currently. Tycho is way too much fun to fly to pass up for an x wing.

Dash, rec spec, lone wolf, HLC, title

Corran, R2D2, shield upgrade, Fcs, ptl

Mates got a shield upgrade from his 1300 which he doesn't use unless he borrows my corran so I'm sweet for cards.

For imps I want to try a decked out Rex with RAC to start with but not sure how to go about it upgrade wise. Will the upgrades fit better if I take sir ramsalot?

I would take recon spec off of Kyle as long as you have the ion cannon. (You'll get enough of a stack to pass by combat)

I'd use those 3 points on advanced sensors on Corran

I'd hesitate on the a-wing and would personally for the same points add a blue with a HLC to pound with kyles focus whatever Kyle has ioned
