I know this is NOT the way Netrunner is to be played but I thought it may be fun just for kicks and gives an expanded environment. I'm not talking about a team game like 2 vs 2 or 3 vs 3 but definitely something like there are 2 or 3 corps and the same number of runners in a single game each trying to be the first to 7 agenda points.
So it pretty much starts the same way corps goes first. Each side will spend clicks and wait for the other players on the same side to catch up before spending the second click. So if a corp plays a double he will have to wait till the other corp spends their second click before spending the 3rd click.
As for runners where there is a lot more servers to run on (sort of how it would be in the real Android universe). Of course like the corp the runners have to wait for all other runners to catch up before spending their next clicks.
The corps and runners are not on a team, although it is obvious that corp cannot scorch earth another corp. They are just trying to beat out the competition while getting assailed by runners. The runners are trying to get to the goods before it becomes too late and beaten by the corp or other runners without getting flat-lined.
As for co-operation between the corps and runners I am thinking maybe allowing the players sell cards to each other such as a runner buying coroder from another player paying that player 2 credits to install it from their grip to the runners rig, or having corporate install ice on other corporation servers paying the install cost but the corp owning the server has to pay the rez cost.
So just thinking how do you hink it will go, will it be fun, I don't think it would be balanced as well as the 1v1 game but what co-op counter-op house rules would you put in place to fix that?
