By goldensun05, in Strategy and deck-building

The idea of this deck is to use Galadriel to keep your threat the stable while using doomed cards for their cheep cost and keeping Over Hill Gandalf for way longer. When your threat becomes to high, you reset with Aragorn and go back to staying at 26 threat.

Card Choices:

Outlands allies- I've tried many different things in these slots but I keep coming back to these allies. Ethir Swordsman's value is really good and with the heardsman, he can survive 1 damage dealing "when revealed" effects and block in a pinch. On its own, the Anafalas Heardsman is not much more then a chump blocker, but the swordsman really need the extra health. I have tried Isenguard Mesenger and Westfold Horsebreeder instead to much sucess, but the swordsman are just too good not to play.

Ents- Galadriel buys you as much time as you want against most quests and gives you plenty of time to ready the ents. They give the deck a lot of versitility as they can quest, block, or attack and Treebeard can ready them so they often do more then one.

Doomed cards- The doomed cards have an amazing value for cost and with Galadriel and Aragorn, the increase of threat is much less dangerous. The Seeing-Stone is used for finding those niche 1 of doomed cards in the deck, however it can also find Deep Knowledge if you don't need a specific card. Power of Orthanc deals with some of the really dangerous conditions that have shown up in the last few sets. Waters of Nimrodel is a way to get back after taking an onslaught of attacks and can double as a way to beat Rhosgobel. Saruman is the catch all and probably the one I find most. He can really swing a game when played at the right time, removing that pesky location/enemy for a turn for a finak push or to manage the staging area. With Galadriel he can quest and attack, which makes him great in boss fight quests.
