Simple stuff.. washed the hull and did the wings..

Tie Fighter after a Tamiya Laquer Thinner bath .

Stripped!

Next is a dish soap wash followed by a coat of Tamiya light gray primer.

Be careful the wing roots are fragile.

Gotta admit, it looks a little weird when it naked.

There is no need to strip these, the original paint is a good base coat and is easily hidden in the process..

That said.. it does look weird all nakey...

Looks like a good start, the finished one looks nice.

Vallejo black for the panels. This paint flows smooth, especially with a bit of water.

I use micro mask to tape off the area for the top hatch windows. Makes a nice quick edge. After the black for windows is dry I apply a good coat of future floor to all cockpit windows.

Here it is with a coat of mr hobby gloss to seal the paint and WWII decal up before I add a black oil paint/ turpanoid wash.

I am digging that tiny decal!
