Dash and Tactician

By K1nG, in X-Wing Rules Questions

Does dash have 360 degree arc for tactician? :)

and is it the ship you attacked who gets the stress or any ship within range 2?

Edited by K1nG

Only the ship you attacked can gain the stress from Tactician.

Turrets (including the Outrider's cannon) don't actually have a 360 degree arc. Ships have normal firing arcs, but when you attack with a turret you can select a target which is not in the arc. So while you can attack any target, that target will only get a stress if it is at Range 2.

does the outrider have 360 degree without canon?

so are you saying that any ship the outrider fires at, even with its HLC 360 degree ability is stressed?

sorry for asking twice

EDIT:

just read last part, so its is clear, as you say, its the ship you attack. But I'm still lost on the 'arc' of the outrider; and is it any different to the standard yt2400

The YT-2400 does have a turret, but the same applies.

All ships have firing arcs as printed on the base. Turret weapons allow you to attack ships outside the printed arcs, but they don't do anything to change the arc. So even if you're using a turret, the target may be in or out of the firing arc depending on where it is, and the space the arc covers.

so the arc is constant, no matter what, and therefore tactician would only apply to ships attacked in the arc?

"after you attack a ship in your firing arc at range 2...."

I just found the turret weapons description on leaflet supplied with YT2400. Sorry for being a pleb. Having read that it is now clear that all ships have a firing arc and turret weapon abilities do not alter it.

thanks again.

You are correct sir. And I will certainly take your advice. Thanks.
