Semperatis , that looks amazing!!!
A-wing repaints
I am glad that I found this thread!
I now have more reference material for A Wings.
I am a big fan of the A Wing, but I am having a hell of a time finding a colour scheme that I am both happy with, and that is accurate to the films etc...
I believe that my struggles with the A Wing colour scheme are due to my perceived lack of reference material that provides anything more than the most subtle differences between the A Wings of specific pilots like Arvel, or Tycho. Presently the only material that I feel I can rely on are the FFG pilot cards, and the one screen shot of Arvel sacrificing himself.
I am even struggling as to whether or not Jake Ferrel's blue A wing "fits" along side of Arvel's and Tycho's...
I suppose my question is... Are A Wings just that uniform in colour and scheme that it is very difficult to tell them apart?
any feedback/comments/clarification will be greatly appreciated

On the tabletop? not when they have their cardboard inserts in the ship bases. Plus, you can use the number tokens to differentiate them if you are having a problem.
Also, just because you use a uniform color scheme for all your ships, doesn't mean they can't be different. My A-wings have the same color scheme but have different details; specifically the yellow panels, which are in different places on different A-wings.
Table top is not the issue for me.
I am thinking more along the lines of "in real life"/the movies.
So basically, what you are saying is that they all look the same with the exception of replaced panels...
I was just curious if someone had knowledge about whether or not they have markings that distinguish squad members from one another like the X-Wings have Red 1, 2, 3, etc...

Oh, I see what you mean now.
I haven't ever seen any squad markings on any ships except for X-wings.
Every time we've seen more a wings in Rebels ive ended up pausing trying to take a look at the different markings to see if there were numbers or such, especially the recent mandolorian episode with multiple new paint jobs, but while there are some nice patterns I cant make particular sense of any of them. I would advocate making up your own. Rebels arn't uniform. Embrace that.
For some reason I find it hard to stray from what I see in the movies.
And that just seems to be the standard red and white...
I have a sneaking suspicion that I am going to stick with the original colour scheme and just move the replaced panels around, and add battle damage to distinguish the pilots.
Edited by Red 7That is a nice repaint.
Do you other ships have similar look to them?
Very nice work.
Fell a bit for the color combination Poe has, so I added it to some other ships as well.

That is awesome!
Very unique and original, I LOVE it!
Have you thought about using this color scheme on your whole fleet?

I'm well on my way. 1 T70 painted with these colors in a different scheme than Poe's, 1 B-wing, and 1 E-wing thus far. I will continue to paint most of my rebels like this I think.
Do you have a link to pics of the other ships?
I would love to see them if you do.
I'll take some pictures of them later and upload. We'll ser if I post them in the general repaint thread or pm you.
Oooo very cool. Great to see A-Wings getting some love.
I'd post some of my custom painted A-Wings but I just wanted to copy Rebel Aces so they wouldn't be particularly impressive except perhaps in how much they look normal.
I've been tempted lately though....maybe I might go for something unique soon...

Either would be cool. Just let me know either way.

nice werk.
I have the standard blue and red A-wing and then a green one I have painted up. Thinking about getting a 4th A-wing but what would be a good color scheme for it?

Green,blue, or red would work
Holy crap dude that's dead on.
Looking at the picture, I am wondering if I should take off the battle damage on the pilot's right hand side...
Any thoughts?
