I did an A-wing a wee while before Rebel Aces came out and used Ralph MacQuarrie's artwork for inspiration. Boy, was I surprised.

My repaint next to the original.

This pilot's XO is probably ecstatic with the abuse that is happening within his fleet. seriously, get dirt-side ASAP! Refit and maintenance, that is an order... dismissed!

Man, what was the story in your head while you were painting this? It is fantastic! In the outer rim, dusting up with some cartel. Hiding out on some asteroid base between 20 hour patrols, sack time means autopilot formations. -Good job!

My story: Make it look like the rebel alliance is fighting a vastly superior force in both numbers and human resources. Make it look like the rebel alliance is more concerned with how their starfighters act rather than look

I have to mention how amazing Vent's A-wing from earlier in this post is. After seeing that repaint my A-wing was only ever going to be green.

Ahhh, that colour all too much reminds me of painting 4000pts of Space Marines. Looks great though.

'gretchin green' was what they were calling it when i got it. But yeah, well-spotted, that's a citadel paint. I'm a 40k expat.
