HWK-290 repaints
Here's my HWK. When I got it, I took an instant dislike to the crummy brown colour, so it got a repaint before going near the gaming table.

This shot was taken outside in rather bright sun light, so it looks a little washed out.

Indoor lighting. It wasn't too great, but the colour is more accurate.
Edited by ParravonGreat repaints! I especially like the light grey w/ red as the old Crow was always depicted as such in the games/artwork.
This is my version, I have been working on it for a couple of days when time allowed. I am down to mainly detail tweaks and thinking about what to do with the cockpit glass but all in all she is mostly complete.

I'm almost embarassed to put my effort up after seeing some of the repaints on these forums, but I'm happy with how it turned out so...

I've never actually flown the HWK but may do so now just to see it on the tabletop.

You certainly made him proud!
Final touches...

Well, if Lonestar from Spaceballs flew a starwars ship, I think you just made him Eagle One.....
Heres my attempt at a conversion and repaint.
"For the urban smuggler or Corescant entrepreneur you can't go past the HWK-290C Compact. A personal feighter or affordable star yacht for those where docking space is at a premium"

fixed
With the HWK joining S&V, I thought it more appropriate for a separate Rebel themed one and the original colors to go Scum.. (learned my dexterity ain't what it used to be... gonna go back and clean up those window lines)

Ok folks this is my first post in the repaint section, go easy on me I am just starting to learn painting minis and this is the first one. I painted mine before looking here, and I thought I was being orginal.
1st picture just after dry brushing, if you have suggestions for a new painter please tell me

From the back showing my first attempt at engine glow
And a little more detail from the top, man the pictures sure show the imperfections that are too small to see with the naked eye

Very good job man, I think I can see some washing on the mini which works very well in combination with the drybrushing, those are your two base techniques and with some practice I'm sure you'll have fun painting. I would say you're ahead of a beginner level now.

I really did have fun painting it, now I gotta do another.
Hi all! Long-time collector/modder/painter, only recently started playing in the last few months, but I haven't shared any repaints mods yet because I'm lazy, and honestly there is so much terrific work here it's a little intimidating! ![]()
But I did cut apart a HWK today that I'm pretty pleased with, still need to repaint, but I wanted to post the raw mod before I put it off and while the photo is still fresh in the memory of my iDevice.

What needs repainting? It looks great!
I love this, can't wait to see the painted version.
Magnetized turrets!
I love this idea man, great job.
