Your Favorite Character.

By Mt_Do, in UFS General Discussion

Well with the new sets coming out in December, I thought I woulld ask all you forum members who is your current favorite character? Let's face it, there are some really good character cards. I belive that Taki from the Flash of Blades set is pretty awesome, but If I have to stick to a definitive choice, my current fave is the new Terry from King of Fighters 2006. So tell me who you like to use and why?

No doubt about it, it's Dan "The Man" Hibiki, from the Domination set. Sure enough the set wasn't much on it's own, but this one character plus his finisher (Dan's Dragon Punch) Mean buisness. People don't notice his abilities are FREE so no fear of negation, and the Dragon Punch says "either you die, or you face a severe tapdown!". Also, strong discard is strong, especially come block 3 when I only have to worry about Earth, Good and Water players using Big Cyclone. Gotta love Unorthodox Training.

well i got:

**Athena**

first real competitive deck i've ever made and very easy to tri-symbol with.

***X*** and *X*

only because i play her a lot in SC3 & 4; and they gave her good abilites in this game... just why she had a [death]/[fire] ability on the ** version is beyond me...

*Zi Mei*

c'mon she's a reason to run 2 and 1ccs again... and with my favorite symbol of fire... yeah... love her.

N.J.

Right now...

Athena** off order. strong and stable.

Raphael**** off good. big beats abound.

Zi Mei off either death or evil.

Akuma****** off evil/fire.

Nakoruru** off any symbol.

I'd have to say:

Promo Yun-seong, Rare Yun-Seong, (I've built 3-5 different YS decks so far)
Ukyo (I like him off water)
Ibuki (2 dot and 4 dot)

So far it's...

*****Mai***** off evil

*Ukyo* off water

******Akuma****** off fire

and *Jivatma* off earth

The master of Psycho Power himself, M. Bison. How can you not love the Milkman, and Evil/Order UR Bison is my favorite deck ever.

and lastly, J. Talbain.

why? because werewolves are awesome.

Mine is morrigan for obvious reasons .

And MT_Do me and papernaut need to contact you asap please get with us.

I've always been a huge Terry Bogard fan, so the new 3.Terry is definitely one of my faves. Built him Tri-Symbol, and yea...i have players in my playgroup who've begun to Meta-game against him, bc he's fierce!

My new Mentally Unstable Good-symbol Makoto deck is wicked! Incredibly underrated character because of her 5hs stat, but her abilities are well worth building around.

4.Fei Long is my labor of love at the moment. I love love love the character (bruce lee, yo!), but building a deck that synergizes with his abilities is rather difficult since there's simply not enough proper support for a weenie-rush deck. I'm hoping someome over at FFG (*cough* Hata *cough*) will build some weenie-rush support soon! =)

mine would have to be from street fightervega-first deck really enjoyed playing and elena-she cheats. Soul Caliber- Raphel he is french nuff said.SNK-Nakaruru-kicks booty and is psycho. Ninon-not to play until promo comes out but someone told me i look like her with my hair the way it is now.haha.

I actually have a few:

Donovan.:, he has big ears, big beads, a big sword, and a big heart <3 That and he's awesome. You know, silly powerful. Not as powerful as his promo, but then I don't think many things are...

Vega., I don't think we've ever seen artwork quite as good as his since his release in World Warriors. Really, I died a little inside when Disney Vega was released. Again, he was awesome, and extremely powerful as well. I do miss my pretty Vega :(

Karin:, Sure, she isn't quite as powerful as either of the two above, but she's still a force to be reckoned with, and along with Vega, is one of my favourite characters from the Street Fighter universe. She's Ken, but a nasty cow with a more interesting fighting style :D

Nightmare:, If I were to play Legacy, it would be this bugger. Earth powerhouse with Evil backup and Jivatmas support to tie the two together. I can only pray now that when they release Soul Calibur IV, that they bring Nightmare along with the first release of it.

Soiree., What can I say? He's mah big gai breakdancing cowboi!

As you;ve probably noticed, I don't tend to stick to one character. This isn't because I get bored of the character themselves, but because I get bored with their playstyle. I've never been someone who sticks to a single deck archetype. My favourite characters are those with a slightly more unique playing style, like Donovan:., who has a clearly aggressive ability, but whose resources call for control effects, allowing you to play both and yet neither control or aggro. I'm almost certain that the new Chun-Li will end up joining this list so long as FFG keep to their promise and make her tournament playable :D I mean, Chun-Li:::: was great fun, and had an awesome finisher, but there was always something missing from her.

Hum... for the moment i would say Mai, B.Jenet, Morrigan and lately Leona

I usually play character i like and if they have good abilities it is better.

J Talbain ( all of them)

Zi-Mei: she's just to **** good

Makoto: Damage monkey

Promo Yun-Seong: mister " if you don't kill me in your first turn then by my 2nd turn your dead"

*Felicia* : Miss Freebie

Sorry I have many

Not as powerful? Mujin Kyaku.

MUJIN KYAKU.

MUUUUUUUUUUUUUUJIN KYAAAAAAAAAAAAKU!

Mitsurugi: First deck I made, not really any good but he worked for a time.

Makoto: Favourite character from SF3 haven't found a way to make her work yet but we'll see when next set rolls round.

Jivatma: Death by discard, what's not to love?

My list is embarassingly power level stacked, but these really are the chars I fanboy out for so. Only listing block 3 legal versions, If I were to go back in the vault It would be Promo Dan, Rare Felicia from set 1, Rare Kilik from Set 2, Blue Cody probably in that order too.

1. New Seong-Mina, I adore her, my deck with her is a force of nature and I feel like it gives me a chance in every matchup and She is my second fav char from SC.

2. Promo Alex, Old news I know right? But in Block 3 he's gotten that underdog feel back he use to rock in the beginning of Block 2, and I love that feeling. my second fav char from 3rd Strike.

3. Rare Iori new, Deck is a work in progress but slowly turning into a pet project that I'm in love with. Fav Char from KoF Series.

4 Felicia New Promo and new Rare, I havent built a deck with either of them yet because im trying to find something both original and effective, which is tough because the rare felcia screams SIX CHECK SPIKE! Work in Progress

Now if Kilik(terrible)/Cammy(Not My playstyle)/Dan(Bland as heck and underwhelming) came out with versions I like in block 3 or a Block 3 Cody came out period, that would be pretty rad. If they could get the license completed for KoF and Put Benimaru and Joe Higashi in the game that would be great too.

I would have to agree, it would be cool to get more of the KoF characters into the UFS arena. I myself wouldn't mind matching Joe against Sagat and Adon. Haven't seen a Joe v. Sagat matchup since Capcom v. SNK 2

I love Dhalsim from Street Fighter, so I am really working with making a decent ::Dhalsim deck currently (Air/Void with a splash of Death). Of late, I also really like:

::Zangief. This guy eats babies. I built him off of Earth right now, but I may convert him to Death when Spinning Beat comes out. Plus, I always liked using 'Gief in the games.

:::Ryu. Love his abilities, really balanced. 6/27 with built in card draw and momentum gen? Sign me up.

.Nightmare. Most likely my Legacy deck when I get around to playing Legacy. His abilites were nice, and he still has two of the best char only assets in the game.

.:::Taki. My new favorite. She is quite the little aggro monster.

..Mai. Always liked her old promo, may get around to building her again.

...Nagase. Damage redux and momentum gen are really nice.

..Luise. One of my favorite Legacy decks was Water Luise. Really brutal.

There are pleanty of characters I am also looking at currently, such as .Mignon, and .:::Mitsurugi. I get deck ADD sometimes though....

Here here!

2-star Talbain is the only one I might consider using for a while outside of Yuri and Seong Mi-Na.

I'd have to say my favorite character card printed to date is **Kula** . I think she's simply amazing.

My favorite character in the game though? Mai for sure. Can't go wrong with Mai. ^^

Now we just need to see King printed in a SNK set!

Yea, I was about to say, don't forget King. 'Cause Muay-Thai kickboxing means you shoot fireballs with Kick buttons.

Still am not decided.

Gotta wait for Set 11, honestly. Too many characters I like getting printed at the same time. Nice change of pace from the other sets.

Tycho

Dhalsim**

B.B. Hood*

Necro

Rera (promo)

Dan (rare and promo)

Seong Mina (old rare)

Chester

Obviously, most of these aren't in t3/standard. I just haven't found what i really like yet. However, I do want to make Victor very good, because I like me some Universal Studio's Monsters.

Hey Davachido, Don't know how to send PM's yet, so...anyway, with re: Makoto. I have a build that's surprisingly good. Take a gander and try it out for yourself: http://new.fantasyflightgames.com/edge_foros_discusion.asp?efid=27&efcid=5&efidt=8121
