Hey guys. Tournament coming up soon and I'm piling through potential lists, but I really want to know what you guys think the best way to run Boba is and his best squad mates? I know he probably isn't terribly good in the grand scheme of things but he's always been my favorite character in Star Wars so I'd like to give the Fett one more run with his imperial buddies before I inevitably bring him to the scum side.
Best way to run Boba?
If I were going to run Boba, I might try him with something like this:
Boba Fett (39)
+ Navigator (3)
+ Seismic Charge (2)
+ Veteran Instincts (1)
Howlrunner (18)
+ Determination (1)
3x Academy Pilot (12)
It's got something for everyone. Boba + VI + Navigator can hunt down Phantoms. The mini-swarm has some punch against Falcons. And the Seismic Charge can do some damage to enemy swarms.
Yeah, I was definitely considering a mini-swarm. Do you think Just academy ties with outmaneuver and engine upgrade on boba could work as well? With the navigator still? Not sure because I do like howlrunner, but engine is nice as well.
I run him with HLC and predator. Rebel captive is nice as well

If you're gonna fly Boba,...fly him as scum XD Can't quite remember my old list, but it was something like Boba with VI and EU, with 3 binaries with feedbacks. Boost to get into range 1 for rerolls or just boost past them and shoot from the rear to avoid being shot at. Binaries acted as blockers, using their feedbacks to finish off crippled ships, or they'd all pop at once to bring down an ace like soontir in one turn (so satisfying) I called it Boba and bug zappers, or Great white shark and piranha swarm XD

That's an old thread you got there. Which is why I'm still interested in the topic apparently. (I should probably play more games....) But, since three year old meta is just my speed, I like Imperial Fett, with EU, Gunner, VI (sometimes - though there are a lot of good skills out there now), and a nice cannon, like mangler or HLC. Flying him is easy since he can change his bank moves on his turn. I liked that. The Firespray I is still a solid ship, but has a hard time fitting in these days it seems like. I think lots of people feel guilty for owing something to the Hutts, so they shy away from Boba Fett.
Anything the Firespray can do, the Shadow caster does better
Imperial Bobas ability is cool, but I find I never use it. If I flew my ship to that spot, it's cause I knew I wanted to be there regardless of where my opponent ended up at. If anything my EU to get out of bad situations like taking too many fire arcs, but my motto is shoot first shoot hard, they can't shoot back when dead. His rerollshelp out with that heehee
Imperial Boba might work well with the Strikers, like Duchess and VI Pure Sabaac. Late round highly maneuverable ships to have plenty of arc dodging shenanigans.
Something like this? With three points for a Duchess EPT.

I like it. I just have always been a Firespray fan, regardless of the game stats and meta, she's such an iconic ship. This is making me want to break them out again.
I'm a fan of any Firespray taking outmaneuver and tail gunner with EU to help insure back arc. When you get your opponent to -2 defense dice it's amazing. It works particularly well with Bobas' pilot ability.
