It seems like it's been awhile since we've had a reveal for a new wave. I remember we had barely just touched wave 4 when Wave 6 was announced. For awhile we had both Wave 5 and wave 6 in line down the pipe. If we don't hear something about Wave 7 soon... it would be wierd.
I mean, imagine having Wave 6 in hand, and nothing about a future wave. Would feel so strange!
Gencon i imagine. We have enough new product, and enough catch up to do with the supply shortages, that they'll let the market stabilize a bit. Also, i personally will be buying Armada before i get a full Wave 6 compliment, and i imagine FFG will factor others doing that in as well. I'll get Most Wanted and at least one Aggressor, then buy all my Armada goodies before i worry about the rest of Wave 6.

It will come just before our shortly after the wave 6 drop. Rebel aces announced right before imperial dropped, Wave 5 announced right before 4 dropped, and Wave 6 came at the same time as the wave 5 soft release at gen con. Just saw some are thinking W6 will come at the end of January. Wave 4 announced the first Friday of February last year, so maybe Wave 7 will since the same Friday.
Somewhat obnoxiously it will probably be a few days before wave 6 hits stores, completely stealing wave 6's thunder. That seems to be their general pattern.
If you really think about it, the Imperial Raider is sort of Wave 6.5, so FFG is already one step ahead of you.
Just flipping through the News pages, the Epic ships were announced all the way back in August 2013 (GenCon, right?). Wave III was released in September, and Imp Aces announced that same month. The details on the GR-75 weren't available until January 2014, and the CR90 article was in February, when Wave IV was also announced. The preview articles for Wave IV started in late March, which is when Rebel Aces was announced. The Transport was available in April, the Corvette in May, and Wave IV in June, thirteen days after the announcement of Wave V in the same month.
All of this combined, means...I haven't the foggiest idea. The Raider needs a preview article, after the Aggressor, and if January-February holds out for Wave VI showing up, I'm thinking a Wave VII would be announced some two weeks or so before "Wave VI is Now Available". I wouldn't be surprised if they announce an Aces pack or a proper Wave VII right when we're expecting a Raider article, so that seems like the last week in January.
Or you can be content with what we have already, the decimator and yt2400 have been out for like what a month and a half now? And the scum faction has been annouced for a while, yet you are wondering whats even ahead of that.....

Let's stop producing our best selling game ever for 8 months in hopes the consumer will purchase another one of our games. Yup sound business plan!

These would be my guesses. Mostly scum single expansions while the Empire and the Alliance receive revamps.
Wave 8 would be when new Imp and Reb ships are probably released some time after EP:7 with possibly ships from the movie. Also S&V Huge Epic

Could it be that Wave 7 is tied to Episode 7? Could they make the announcement, not at Gencon, but at Star Wars Celebration in April in Anaheim?

Wave 7 doesn't need a counter to Autothrusters. The game has had a counter to them since launch, it's called manuevering.

So long as the repaint is Dace, not Torkil or Palob! But since we've already got the cards, they'd have to add at least two more pilots to warrant the new model, I would think.
What I would love for a second Imp Aces would be a PS7 Defender pilot as awesome as Farlander was for the Rebels. Just something solid and attack-oriented that didn't require me to build the squad around it. Although, I will admit Vessery really loves the TIE/ad X1 with ATC.
