Sooooooo a buddy at one of my FLGS has been talking to his suppliers and hes got pretty solid confirmation on Wave 6 In January, probably at the end of the month. Armada definite drop in February.
Edited by Bipolar PotterWave 6 Release Date, also Armada.
I'm more excited about Imperial Assault expansions, but Wave 6 is cool too.
Don't play with my wallet's feelings.
Well i looked today amazons only going to charge me £46 for armada which was a very pleasant surprise.
Armada just in time for Income Tax return, slick FFG, very slick ![]()

I'll honestly be shocked but happy if that's true. It will be the 2nd time ever something got to us sooner than the 8 weeks after going on the boat.
From what i understand most of the problems of the last 6 months was a combo of some sort of foulup at the manufacturer (i also wonder if that's why we seem to be getting a higher incidence of subpar models), and the current shipping kerfluffle in the Pacific. I'd imagine that the factory's sorted its stuff out by now, and with reduced holiday shipping the boat's will get here faster/easier.

It is too early to see that kind of change.
I'm taking wave 6 release with a huge dose of cautious anticipation. If it is January I'd doubt its before the end of January, however I'm thinking it'll be sometime toward mid end of Febuary, and Armada perhaps March. That is me being optimistic.
I'll keep the faith, mainly because i believe its in FFG's best interest to get this Wave out on time so their release predictions don't stay the joke they have been.
I think if it hits in January it will mean the boat has been given an engine upgrade. Timings of previous releases from the date the went on the boat to hitting stores wold suggest end if February instead.

I don't think that was an "acquisition" as much as it was a partnership, as I understand it. It is supposed to help internationally, though.
FFG should have always had an interest in getting every wave out on time, yet they haven't yet delivered on the time they've claimed they would. I'm not complaining, I take it as par for the course. I don't see how this release is more important then releasing any of their other waves on time.
Basically, I wanted to believe at a point, they'd clear up their on time issues. I haven't seen that yet however. Considering Wave 6 was already pushed back ( from Q 4 of 2014 which we knew would never happen ) I'll not trust their on time or soon estimation without proof found in consistent on time releases.
I suggest most players to keep a realistic mind on when they feel the models may drop, based on past performance as opposed to get all excited, then disappointed over and over again.

I would be suprised, but I am not getting my hopes up. Everyone remembers how Rebel Aces and Wave 5 were released last year. There was some word that a month after Gencon then two after and it ended up being months after well months.
FFG is kinda notorious for things arriving late but you can forgive it given the quality usually so apparent in their products.
They are at the mercy of the factory and shipping company they use, you can't foresee delays and problems.
I'll take late but high quality over on time a and poor quality and balance.
I think they will be on time since Q1 always just meant may to me.
Actually, a lot of stuff I wanted (not all of it for X-wing, caugh caugh ROBOTECH)just came out around Christmas time so I could use an extra couple of months before I spend my children's college fund on Armada.
As for wave 6 I think it might be the first expansion in the history of Star Wars that I don't NEED to get as soon as it comes out. Since it is whole new faction (and I can't use very many of the models I already own on that faction) I may forgo gettting Wave 6 all together. The ships I do buy will probably be for the upgrades I get instead of the ships themselves.
Need most wanted. So bad.
Wait the robotech game finally released? I can order some of them for battletech at last.
Yay nice news!
Am I the only one who can wait? I mean great cards and options to come that's for sure and I'm excited, but I'm a bit preemptively nostalgic for the days when it was just Rebs vs. Imps (before you counter remember that finals table at worlds has always been Imp vs. Reb).....but more importantly I feel we just got wave 5 so soon and my wallet needs to recover
While I'm excited that there's new stuff coming soon, my wallet is less than happy with me. Priced it out and what I'm getting will run about $108 shipped from MM. Argh. I'm not used to buying in bulk

There hasn't been any strike. Only the threat of one and a general work slowdown. Management and unions are negotiating again and I hear the feds are sending in a mediator to help get this cleared up.
But as of now the slowdown is still in effect.

I hear that...I have 0 interest in this incoming faction and have no desire to see them on they table...that being said I've come to grips with them fact they are here and will be getting a few to keep my collection complete...but they will be my weakest faction, that is for sure.
I'm more than ready for Wave 5 to be over. I'm disappointed in both of the ships and the direction that they are pushing the game. Hopefully something in Scum will make big expensive turrets less desirable.
