We have asked for them for a year and now that we have them please use them.
The front page has been a mess far to long. FFG has that fixed now and is setting us up for a great 2015! For our parts and the sake of our sanity please use the new boards from now on.

Guys, thank evan for setting those up. I've been discussing them with him for a while and collated all your views from the 'what pinned threads' do you want and those two were the ones that the FFG team thought made most sense.

Starting with a nice clean new set up, if we all just take a second (literally guys) to post our topics in the correct board there will be a much better forum for everyone to enjoy in 2015 and beyond.

The only way that will change is if moderators actively move threads. A lot of the rules questions that hit the front page are from people who are relatively new or inactive on the forums.
Guys i asked for player moderators. Its not something FFG feel they can or want to do at the moment.
Equally 'new players' was requested as a sub forum but they didnt want too many.
List build and painting do require seperate areas where you can see that new players will land on the main forum first
I even recommended a few people, even some people i dont see eye to eye with as player mods. Some people on here i might not agree with but they are really reasoned and erudite posters and keep calm.

I understand your point, certainly it happens. Now we veterans need to just step up and do the right thing. I for one will now post all of my topics on the correct board... and the correct board only.
In a month the rest of the people will get it.
Wowies... if I want to read post about this or that then I need to go to the this and that board, or I am going to be missing a lot of good content.
It is easy to do, so yeah we should roll with it... now that we can.
Or we can flood the main forum with topics about people not using the correct forums.
Then FFG might judge it best to moderate. Assuming it doesn't bring about the fall of civilization first.

The main forum is still fine. The sub forums do not make the main page obsolete. General topics all go there.

I am loving the sub forums! I find what I want to see I pleasure that part of my brain that wants the immediate gratification (I really like lookin at repaints it gets the mind gears rolling you know!)Then after I have read all of the important stuff I can scroll on down and see whats brewing again in the main forum. . . Best Happy New Year and late birthday present ever ! Once again thanks FFG!

What you said Star-brother... it is already less of a mess.
I guess if you want all those sub-forums to get used perhaps it is time to go on a reporting offensive.
Any time you see a thread in the general section that "clearly belongs in one of the sub-forums" it should be reported with a request to have it moved. If you want them used then that maybe the only way to really push the issue. It wouldn't be direct "player moderation" but certainly should bring attention to those threads that need to be moved by an actual moderator.
